Animation(s) Issues

When will there be a fix for the animations or getting rid of them until there is a fix?
Because the Stop Animation after you run, walk or take a single step has made the game unplayable.

This is caused by an unintended issue and our team is looking into it.

Can someone explain the issue here. Yeah i see the animation but really… people think the game is unplayable becuase of that??? I can pick 10 other things the game can be unplayable for. A animation is being petty.

A different thread mentioned how the animation causes the first-person camera to bob and sway.

I don’t use that view, but when I tried it out I could definitely see that it would be a big impediment.

I just got back into Conan after a coupla weeks and find my server is all messed up.

Who’s idea was this with the stop animation? What a lame implementation. Please remove it.:angry:

Negativity aside, one thing about the new animations that is actually bothering gameplay is the fact that idle animations run even while the character is not being idle, e.g. while trying to place a placeable. This causes the center of focus to wobble with the character as he/she stretches or shifts from foot to foot. Placing chess pieces onto the board is… challenging.

So I would really appreciate it if “idle animations” would run only when the character is actually idle, not in the middle of doing something.

Okay, so it wasn’t just me. Whew.~
I also can’t bring myself to play the game while there exists such a jarring animation issue. It’s simply too irksome >.<
I sincerely hope that the team can fix it soon.

I understand that the idle animations trigger very quickly, after 6 seconds I believe they enter the Idle random loop animation, thats quite fast compared to other games. Buuuuuuut, that doesnt mean its a bad thing, I actually love seeing the character doing the streching and all, but the real problem are the sounds, because visually, theres nothing wrong seeing our characters and npc’s acting like “humans” and not just a toon in the screen.

I hope FC change only the sound effects and not the timers on idle animations, because they really makes the game feel more alive.

Oh, I agree, the timer is, generally speaking, just fine the way it is. It just needs to apply only to actual idle time, and when I have a placeable or building piece active and I’m trying to place it precisely where I want, I’m not being idle. And my character stretching while I’m placing a candle on a windowsill makes the candle shoot all across my screen. So what I’m asking is to disable idle animations for the duration of placing objects.


So, any ETA for the fix?
