Is what it says. No mods. Tried valida6ting and reinstalling the game, but constant crash whyen I click “star game” in single player.

I have an AMD 7700xt gpu

I had the same problem but I found this solution, by deleting the shaders manually in amd adrenaline the games starts.

If this helps anyone…

Run a check on your system to find out whether or not you still have DirectX 12.

Something mysterious and extremely suspicious happened recently and I ended up re-downloading DirectX 12 AGAIN.

Once that was done, I’ve had no further issues.

Does anyone get this issue randomly and unpredictably throughout gameplay? I am the only person I know where this issue randomly occurs during gameplay.

I seem to be having a similar problem. I am curious about something. Every time the game crashes (which is quite frequent actually) I always click the “send report” button. Does anyone out there know if the devs are actually getting any useful info out of this or am I just clicking a placebo button?

Lol. Like all the complaints Dwightnreported to Toby about Jims pranks on the office. Just a box under his desk.

I’m playing together with some friends on a self-hosted server. One of them went into “The den”, which is located at map E8, a bit north of Muriela’s Hope. Now he gets the exact same error as griffynn described. Every time he tries to login, he gets the same error while the loading screen is still shown. The other players don’t have any problem at “The den”.

But for him, this error is 100% reproducible and a complete game blocker for him. He couldn’t play now for several days.

However, he does not have an AMD GPU and instead has an NVIDIA GPU. Therefore, the solution of Tim3z, with deleting the AMD shaders cache can’t work for him.

And regarding the solution of Vahlok with DirectX: My friend has Windows 10. And as far as I know you can’t download a DirectX for Windows 10. Every Windows 10 and 11 has DirectX automatically and you get it by windows updates. But there is no DirectX related update for him.

He also has the latest GPU driver from NVIDIA, which is available for his GPU. This is not the highest version number, as this is an old GPU. Conan complains about that driver version during every start, but it is the latest version for this GPU. I have the exact same GPU driver (but a slightly different old GPU) and get the same complaints, but I don’t have any problems.

The friend also has verified the game files, by using the verification of Steam: Steam → Conan Exiles Enhanced → right-click → Properties → Installed Files → Check files for errors (… or however that is named in English)

Any ideas what else he could try?

As much as I hate to say this.

Upgrade to windows 11.

Then don’t. I have not “upgraded” to windows 11 and I have not once crashed since the enhanced edition was released. I have played without mods and with mods (though no more than 3). It is not a windows version thing.

Don’t?

Too late. I already said it.

But good for you that you’re not having problems. I wish everyone else could be as fortunate as you.

Would you by any chance have any advice you could share with them that could help?

Could you install DirectX 12 on yours?
