Arbitrary and Unfair Banning System. Lack of compassion for a Live Service Game

for several servers I have been I have always built on one spot in isle of siptah the dead center lowest part of the map 4-H, just next to the edge of the map where you can no longer build. In short my base is always at the beach constructed always within the water area with a pathway made of pavement stone which I assume is its purpose only up to where the water and sand meet no more no less with a width of 2 ceiling. Even when I was forced by the server merge to transfer servers I always build at this same spot with the same base design and structure, sometimes I even waited for months so that the occupying player base decayed and just kept harvesting construction materials till the day comes. In my last server I have been in the said location for almost a year. I built it that way and in that location because, not only because I want to farm red mother, but because there is nothing to block in the water no monster spawns or content that you can be reported for blocking. Which turns out to be a false assumption.

So it baffles me that after such a long time, I was now banned for blocking resource. They cant even be bother to specify which resource and which exact location of that resources was the basis of there findings. I am now constrained to believe that since its a PVE-C server I was a victim of mass report a totally flawed system of disciplinary action as we all know players especially in asia where we know a certain groups acts like pack animals and in some occasion using a google translator I caught one of them encouraging the others to reporting me the only foreigner for false accusation. But, this is not the issue why I am posting this ofc there will always be these kinds of people who will try to abuse the system the problem is that when its a live service game and you immediately jump into conclusions without proper investigation let alone a chance to explain and a chance to rectify a possible oversight if any is detrimental to the game.

Citing my experience here as an example. I got banned for alleged blocking resources even though none of my buildings are outside the water area most of all there is really no more space to adjust them off since its already the edge of the map. My structures are pillar builds with 0 foundation: a 1 main 3floor building 13x15; ceiling a grounded platform with a greater wheel on top; a tower for all the gods with a base with of 7x9; and 2 animal pen facing each other with 3 ceiling distance between; a bridge made of 5 ceiling connecting each building. All of these are near the edge or border of the map so none of them is in the sand all of them are in the water area, so to my mind there is no possible content to be blocked here nor is it too massive that it causes performance issue. I even minimized the use of lights to bare minimum and choose only the lights that doesn’t have flickering animations the only observable decoration are the palisade i placed around the main base to deter players luring monster to my base. I do have to mention that my first floor is a stable with only a stable gate which is a half height gate and so griefers lure mobs to my horses so I had to put palisade around it.

So I find it disappointing and unacceptable that even with all this consideration and effort on my part I was still banned for the one thing I try my hardest to avoid which is to block any content of the game. Certainly there are no mobs spawns in the water as we all know they cant swim. The only thing that I might have blocked are sea weeds but seriously not only can you find plant fibers everywhere its almost next to impossible to avoid blocking them as they are literally everywhere in the map.

Worst part is that I just bought the 50$ crom coins pack for the upcomming chapter 2 update outside of all the dlc and prior crom coin purchases. I do not say this claiming for a better right or privilege, but if you consider the game being a live service game and you have this vague building rules and parameters, then maybe the banning rules should be changed too. Just like in my case I have no desire no intention to block any resource or to grief others by abusive constructions, it was a legitimate creative process for me. I have no problem if building near the area is prohibited why didn’t they just prohibit it then, hell I would have moved if they just said its not allowed but how am I to know ? When I wasn’t blocking any dragon hatchling or the Red Mother dragon because in fact I was there precisely to farm those, and there the game does not prohibit me to build there plus the fact that my base is already in the water what the hell can you block there ?

Imagine it you just want to build and decorate your base, you spend your hard earned money for those new pieces of decorations. You build your home thinking to yourself you have not violated any rules of conduct and just playing the game as it is intended. Here comes some jerks out of envy or pure malice or for whatever reason other than an actual violation of the rules reported you. Here, now comes funcom founds that several player reported you concluded that you violated the rules. Doesn’t matter if its an honest mistake or an intentional violation, They just wiped everything you worked for and paid for without giving you the chance to explain nor rectify your mistake, when in the first place it wouldn’t have happened if they just limit the amount you can build or provide actual in game restrictions to locations they don’t want you to build at all.

So what are my suggestions for ? Lay low in being greedy Funcom. And to those who planned to spend there hard earned money in this game think twice. As it stands Funcom doesn’t care if the reports are real or not, its just a numbers game to them; If you committed honest mistake or not; all they care about is you give them your money. So think very hard so you don’t end up like me 7k+ crom coins which I will never ever used lol nice one Funcom nice try with the 30day as if there is anything else to return to.

P.S. this is the front view of my base the other building was constructed by Chinese clan trying to grief me summoning purges and luring monsters to my horses. They took 3 months to respond to my report and in the end they will just wipe my base lol. Good Job Funcom!

Thats how easy to get you banned, Just take a couple of malicious pack of animals to make shit up against you. So much for a live service game lol.

Edit: For those who are asking about the cerata/crocodile boss its on land all my structure is in the water what you see is the front of my base the largest structure and even its protruding entrance didnt reach the beach how much more the other structures that were built on the same distance as the middle of that main building I am 100% sure that if its mobs we are talking about it blocks nothing. because mobs don’t spawn in water. Plus the fact that I am still too far from that boss in fact there is another player who owns a base directly parallel to that crocodile/cerata boss. The only structure to the left is the tower for the gods, I built it with a pool inside so naturally it was built at the deepest possible part of the sea i cant even extend the back side of it cause its already at the no build zone.

There is an, so called, Giant Crocodile in the area( near the iron node). Maybe you blocked it with your build?
The building on the left of the picture (not your’s I understand) quite surely does… :smiling_imp:

Yes, report bans should be stopped. Devs cant rely on clans (full of salty kids) to make such harsh decisions.
People should be banned ONLY for cheating (video\screen proofs).
And blocking some CRUCIAL ONLY content.
Before ban\ base wipe we need at least 3 warnings, so people can fix their things first.

AND 10000000 time again… WE NEED much clearer and strict TOS.
