Are bombs broken?

Seems like bombs are not doing much damage if any sometimes ? Any one else having these issues trying to blow doors up?

In the testlive I was experiencing weak and defective bombs. I haven’t tried in the 3.0 release version.

I think I found a fix around it to try out. It seems to be a building radius around foundations. If you place a bomb to close or on top of a foundation the bombs doesn’t work but place the bomb further away from door and foundation and you get splash damage. In my testing though you can literaly put a bomb or 8 on a door and it will have no damage but place 5 ish away from door and away from foundation and you get way more damage

Yes. Bombs are now totally useless and unreliable. Guess you have to wait and see if an future fix comes for it. Hope so. Pretty much all raiding is broken now

I don’t understand why they have to tweak everything in the game in one update. Bombs were fine the way they were now they are buggy and look cheesy

It seems that they need to be placed on player owned building pieces now to do the full 7k blow damage.

If not and you place it on the terrain, you need to have a specific distance to the building piece you want to blow. Usually the end of the fire from the detonation point is the distance.

Those are my observations so far when testing bombs.

I know that on top of stuff it does alot. Like putting 20 on vault is 1hitting it. But I dont get how it works when u want to blow doors and stuff. Sometimes it takes damage, sometimes not. Also placing bombs in fire isnt igniting them. They are broken for sure.

And new cartoon explosion (on low settings) is awful, and also makes the performance worse aswell. Pretty much get fps drops if you have to high firestack.

I used to have randomly ineffective bombs years ago. (Or maybe it was just that meteors were randomly invulnerable) Its Funcom, Im not really surprised at bombs not working today.

This. Bombs have always worked reliably. Until 3.0
