I like the game a lot. I’ve been around since early access. Only issue I really have with it is Funcom can’t push content quick enough for it being a live service game.
I haven’t heard anything about how CE runs on the latest Xbox console…anyone?
Played this game on PS4(crashed a lot but was back when the game was fairly new) and gave up on it. Picked it up later when I got an Xbox One X, game was much more stable and playable(I played offline solo, so I can’t speak to how stable online was).
In the past couple of days I got my hands on a Series X, installed the game on it expecting there to be a bit better graphics and quicker load times…well…it’s a mixed bag. On the one hand the load times are much quicker, so yay. The graphics are a lot sharper(I’m not really a fan of this personally as the softer image it had on the One X looked better, but I’m sure given time I’d adjust to this). That being said tho, I immediately noticed the ghosting issue(after images of your character any time you turn the camera or turn the character itself while in third person mode/combat) glaringly stuck out badly(I never saw/noticed this on the One X version of the game). After restarting the game 3 times, making sure each time motion blur was off in the main menu settings, then checking to make sure it was off in game once I loaded in as well, the ghosting still occurred and the motion blur effect stayed in effect(even tho it was disabled). 30-40 minutes of playing like that started to get a headache(never experienced this on the ps4 or One X versions of the game) and just shut it off.
This is xbox play. Constant lag in everything.
Combat is completley destroyed. Almost 2 damn years and noone says a damn thing from fc. Ignored for amlost 700 days. Comments deleted posts pulled help to keep it under the table this long. I have been actively trying to get attention to xbox for this entire timeframe.

This is the newest gen console. Definetly not worth the cost to upgrade. Its confusing too. So many people blamed the xbox console for xbox ce problems. Its the hardware, they said, its not fcs fault they said. Well, looks like you were wrong. Thanks for eating 2 years by telling fc they didnt mess up and they are not responsible, and there is nothing to fix, and xbox players are just whinning…so many wrong poeple. Thanks for convincing me to spend $480 to try to fix fcs mess. It didnt work guys. No difference in any game noticed. All the games that worked on my old console still work on my new console. The one game that didnt work, still dosent work. CE by FC. No excuses now…its jist plain old fashioned, busted, af…
Yeah that is crap. I know they have had problems with the Xbox prior years (where Xbox was getting huge issues that made it unplayable…it seemed like it was a year long thing but probably 2 months since my perception of time moves differently.)

I dunno where on the planet you are nor what ISP and connection type you have but that kind of running in place lag is almost always caused by an inadequate network. If it’s fiber then a dirty or unclean cut fiber-end surface, old or bad copper cables, dirty or broken connector plugs, very high ping, high trafficked low bandwidth service such as found in some apartment buildings, even bad user or default settings for the motherboard NIC or the router/modem being used. MB NIC in this case would be the Xbox system but just like a PC, settings are usually stored somewhere and can become corrupt due to a number of reasons.
I’m not saying FC’s CE for Xbox is good or bad - or really anything as I have no experience with Xbox beyond the 360. Just that the most common cause for the kind of lag I’m seeing in your odd capture there is as I described above.
Something else I find weirdly interesting is that the pole is almost split down the middle with 57% on the unsatisfied side and 43% on the satisfied side. This may be explained by the different versions (old and new) of Xbox itself as I didn’t figure in a way to discern owners of the different systems. That was my bad! I actually didn’t know the game was even available for last gen Xbox - so I apologize for that. Maybe another poll with 12 answers instead of the six? Or just less scale segmentation while maintaining only six answers? I’ll think about it…
I have a newly installed 1gb fiberop connection. On a 2 day old series s console. Every, and i do mean every, game i own runs smooth as you would like. Except for ce. Thats it. Thats the one turd that runs like this. There is no lag, stutter, network effect noticable in any other game.
The way ce performanes on xbox was started before IOS release date. The stability patch has had a lag affect on ce. The games performance was destroyed. It has remained as shown for almost 2 years.
In another thread you say you have never tried Single Player and only ever one on-line server… So my hunch would be that you’re on a server that’s too far from your geological location.
I have been on this server for close to 3 years. The last 2 years, sonce stability patch, has been a vastly different experience than my first year. So, unless the server changed its physical location on the same day as fc released the stability patch, its not the server.
Its not my isp.
Its not my hardware.
Its not my old installation.
Its not my region.
Its not my connection.
It is ce on xbox. Thats it. Thats the reality of it.
I own 80+ games for xbox. This is the ONLY one that performs as such. If the problem is with xbox itself, then why are there no other games that run in this manner? If xbox, by MICROSOFT the largest tech company on the damned planet, is the problem then where are the other games that perform like this? Name one. Just one will do. Ill wait…

Can someone PLEASE do something about xbox? Please stop ignoring the performance issues. Please stop choosing to not help your player base. WE ARE CUSTOMERS. Please act like it. You do not have some monoply on survival games. Ce does not function as fc, or the players would like it to. No amount of ignoring the problem will fix it. That is not a productive approach. The longer fc chooses to allow xbox to falter, the more players experience a negative impact, lowering fcs barely existing reputation. It is detrimental to xbox to allow things to continue. This pattern of just adding more faulty mechanics and content to an already broken version of ce is a chosen direction? Is this accurate? This cannot be a 4 year long series of mistakes. Thats unacceptable. This entire version on ce is unacceptable, and inexcusable. Your unethical practices are unacceptable. Personally i will never purchase another fc product. I do not care if fc is the last gameing company on earth. I would give up my gaming habit of 40 years on the drop of a hat. Even going back to the earliest days of first gen xbox and ps, has a game performed as ce. Just a complete disappointment.
Please dont accept ,“nothing can be done” attitudes from whomever is giving you all direction to ignore the problem. Please remind that person that the players on xbox are customers too. PC, PS, AND, Xbox. “FunCom” shouldnt the fun be for everybody?

On XBox One It worksed perfectly last year but since the end of 2021 the patch did that the game is unplayable.
