Game performance is getting worse

I’ve played Conan Exiles for a couple years now on PS4 and back when I first started playing it wasn’t perfect but I think it has more issues now then it did back then. For example sound desnyc I chop a tree or fight and npc 5 seconds later I hear the action. Textures popping (bushes especially), objects and npc/players are invisible. Terrain not loading in. It seems these many optimisation updates have altered settings too much and are causing more problems. The game plays better on the newer consoles but this game was built around last Gen and at one point worked well on last gen.

I play on PC and don’t notice any particular problems. Some locations are notoriously more laggy than others. But in general, my old 1070 ti graphics card can handle even large buildings (about 40k parts) without too many problems (45-55 fps, 2k). So, in general, I am rather satisfied with the performance of the game.

Right now in all honesty the builds they do are slowly getting better on performance but they rolling on it the pieces rather than all at once so I suspect we see some bad and others good in area’s of game but on Xbox the game is right now running amazing for me but that’s just me. After a while if the optimizations keeps going well the games performance will be much better.

Oh what you mentioned on npcs loops and sounds not working is a known bug can you uninstall and reinstall cause I’ve had the terrain disappear and turned out it was corrupted files. Not promising that’s the fix or issue but if you try it might help

While browsing the forum I got the impression that console players are less satisfied with the games performance than PC players. I think that’s an issue with a lot of games these days. They are being programmed for PC and some developers lack the ability to make a smooth conversion of their project to consoles.

Get a grip I never mentioned PC or what’s better I’m speaking about the problem I’m having. Don’t be so ignorant.

I’m only speaking about the console version hence why I only mentioned console. I’m sure the pc version is many times better.

Not the ones that are actually constructive and aren’t purposefully inflammatory. Pointing out issues is different than simply being angry.

In downloading the latest patch for PS4 right now .hopefully some of these problems have been fixed.

Just to add I’m not in anyway comparing console to PC I know PC is the better option for a fact. I can only speak of the problems I’m having on the platform I play.

Funcom does value feedback on their console games so please submit bug reports for issues with as much detail as possible.

When we started this game it was not more than 70 giga, now it is 135, 9. So is it the game the issue or our consoles that struggle against this game? Ps5 is not on free market yet so we can’t have it and check how awesome this game will be in this console. I know a lot of Ps5 players that really enjoy the game without rendering issues. Sony is my problem, not Funcom. These fellows work a lot for me, my fun, so I can’t blame them.

If you have not updated your machine, then expect it to handle a game that has been updated again and again, then perhaps your machine is the problem. The more the game is updated, the less able older machines are able to handle it. So be prepared to get what you asked for and then be unable to play the game.

PC is broken beyond repair…i very much doubt they will ever get fixed. I camed back to play some Conan after a half year Break…And the game sucks, it sucks big time… AI teleports all over the place, they “stick” to your back like you and move in sincron with you…The “new” AI attacks are wrong, the sheathing on weapons feels so wrong on some of them…Some Camps are empty, felt like i Was alone in some of the stygian Camps…i can go on like this for quite a while, but i stop here knowing that it will take them years or never to get this game fixed.

To Bad, shame that such a “diamant of a game” camed in the hands of Scott Jr and the sorts.

That’s absolutely ridiculous. There’s tons of negative comments on the forum that don’t get deleted. Just don’t be hateful, angry and pointless criticism.

I’ve played since Conan first went EA, over 5k hours played. Trust me, the game is better than it was. It has some issues, but FC is very good at adressing most issues that are brought to their attention. It’s not perfect, but certainly is not broken.

I respect your opinion but Siptah is worse after 1 year…hell its even worse then it was in may this year…

And in General my experience with Funcom is just unfinished games full of bugs.

I am sorry Funcom but this is the truth.

Trust you lol, ill pass. … You must be kidding here.

I too , and many CE friends with me play the game since 02 2017 and they too experience it has become worse and worse and atm its just 80% broken.
It has become almost unplayable.

Now lets flag me for saying whats right as is usance inhere.
Everyone reads a flagged like clickbated post more interested then any another so the flaggers perhaps rethink what they try to achieve.

Turn down your shadow settings. It has a huge impact on the game, but is not visibly a game breaker. I keep everything on cinematic at 4k resolution with just shadows turned down to high instead of ultra/cinematic.

I have FPS crash in the Redwood Forest area of Siptah. Rest of the map is playable, I would never build in the redwood area.

80% broken? Well 95% of statistics on the internet are just made up nonsense.

But seriously, 80% broken and almost unplayable are ridiculous exagerations. I admitted the game has some problems. If you’re not willing to have a reasonable discussion on the game functionality, then this conversation is pointless to continue.

So did you just miss the lengthy periods of time where camp NPCs wouldn’t even fight back, thralls did literally nothing?

There’s hyperbole and there’s exaggeration to the point what you say is meaningless. 80% broken, how about that.
