I’m having trouble finding some of the baby animals. I have yet to see the elephant, rhino or tusk beast. I have patrolled their spawn points for 3 days now. Is there a possible bug here?

Last time I played Siptah, there was only one guaranteed baby animal spot – the sabretooth kittens in the northeast. The rest of the map had animal spawns with only a small chance of a baby animal being spawned. So, in a nutshell, if you wanted baby animals other than sabretooth kittens, you had to go around killing adult animals and waiting for respawn. (Or you could go and buy some from the merchants.)
So, did they change how baby animals spawn on Siptah? Or is it still like that?

There’ve been one guaranteed spawn more, with bear cubs near Asura basin. But I feel that chance for baby spawn lowered dramatically after the 2.3 update. Puppies had been common in the South-West starting area before - and after the update I found only one in spite of constant slaughtering those dogs. No Lynx kittens at all as well at areas where I got them before.

I just picked up a baby rhino in the area southwest of the tower. Most of the rhinos I’ve gotten have been north of the leyshrine west of the tower though. I don’t recall the name of that particular leyshrine right off.
Got plenty of elephants from the region to the north of the tower. But if you want the one you can use for the turan caravan elephant, you have to summon a particular surge. Unless something changed anyway.
I don’t recall ever picking up a tusk beast, though I never went out of my way to get one either.

You won’t find a tuskbeast baby. Tuskbeasts are grown from Siptah Rhinos. There are two different variants of Siptah Rhino rhino babies. One of them has a chance, depending on the food (you know they deal) to grow into a Siptah Rhino and the other has a chance to grow into a Tuskbeast.
As to the other animal babies. I have been seeing pretty much everything around, not all the time of course. I’ve recently (post content update) came across babies for aardwolf, sabretooth, lacerta, crocs, doggies, rhino, siptah rhino, elephant, lynx, bear, lion and jungle claw. Haven’t seen a wolf cub lately, but that doesn’t mean anything, they were there pre content update, but I have not gone where I would normally find them since the update.
What I have not seen in a long, long time and I suspect there is a non spawn issue with, is a Mountain Lion, even with looking profusely along with killing off the adults for respawns. Has anyone seen a mountain lion cub in the last few months?

I got different animals the last time, mostly run in them at some point, not really searching for them.
Found bears, lynxes, rhinos, mountains lions, salamanders, jungle-claws, dogs of course, lot, aardwolves lot, crocs of course. I’m sure i forget some. I don’t barely never buy animals, i melt my gold.
Edit: ah yes, lions, there is a very nice spawn, mostly two babies. Go south !

Yes, got 2 of them lately, one is still in the cage actually, hope he become a greater one.
Look at some island, it’s a spooky place, you may hear some voices wispering.
We got a fair number of baby wolves after 2.4 Also the little jaguars on the new island seems to perma spawn.
Overall i wish that all animals would spawn like those wolves, its rare , but not ultra rare. So its alwys a joy to find it. I dont understand wby some animals have perma spawn cubs compared to those.
I found most of the babies in the middle ( more to the west side of tower , there is some spawns near the pointy rock and 4 more a bit north of the broken leyshrine of the south west ) or just under the north east leyshrine , but you first have to do a massacre of adults before seing one
I know the south west island hosts a lot of them , but I only got one baby over there ( and did kill a load , so not much luck )
of course I’m speaking of the mountain-lions 
A spooky island, with a lake. Good place to for them.
yes maybe , only found one baby as I said unfortunatly this island was no luck for me
Like you said, it’s also luck, and mostly you have to kill lot adults before you get one. Some come as twins, or kinda. Some named dogs are twins, but with same name. 
Yeah I found a couple of baby lions too. Plenty of rhinos and bears, but not once a sabertooth or jungleclaw, they seem rare to me.
Btw: Is there any follower cap implemented yet that I’ve been hearing about?
Not yet. From what I’ve been hearing, and from what they mentioned during the dev stream, it looks like they’re deciding what number to use and also working on some additional features.
I wish they would just bite the bullet and enable it with some number. They can always adjust it later.

Oh, but there’d be hell to pay if for example certain players had to cull their followers only to have the number then raised a month later.
