Background Music Will Not Play; Other Sounds Missing

I can occasionally barely hear the background music try to begin, but then it does not. There is no background music. Also, when my follower leveled up, the accompanying announcement sound did not happen. This has occurred twice. I have also tried logging out and back in twice, but there is still no background music

I don’t know what happened between last night and this morning, but this is today’s latest bug. Yay? It seems every time I play there is a new bug without a new fix. Oh, the combat drums are still there, of course, but the lovely ambient/background music is gone.

Any word on this? This just began being a problem two days ago. It still persists.

Update - this seems to be limited to the north. When I am in the desert or jungle, the sounds work fine.
