Barnes of Asura

Many of you probably know @Barnes from the forums, you may also know that he was recently chosen by Asura, that means that he is now immortalized in the game as a thrallable character. Which is freaking awesome!!! Congrats Barnes!!! Here is a video just for you bro.

I hope everyone will join me in congratulating him on the many many times he will be hit with the friendship stick (truncheon) now that he is in game. Go out and add him to your collection.

For those of you that are not familiar with the Chosen of Asura title you can read all about it here.

Unfortunately all Chosen of Asura now spawn 100% male, No more chance to get the female versions of any of them

Bummer. I was perfectly fine with the 25% chance on mine. Oh well. Guess I’ll have to do my Thrall variety mod someday just to fix that after all.

Lucky for me I have a very rare variation of the all mighty Gilum’Tun on my official PS4 server. Still needs a shrine though.

The real question is, does he have similar, erm, features, as T4 male dancers tend to have?

As my buddy @zerog said, “buck up pal, he’ll compensate in other ways.”

Unfortunately, this is confirmed on my private server. When he comes out of the wheel, based on what he looked like when he was captured, his cranium/face is normal but his lips are distended. Same thing happened to my birdcage male Bohdan the Flexible, the T4 counterpart to Senk the Pillowdancer. I had Bohdan in the Yamatai dragon mouth mask because of that.

Getting to know myself in this game has been surprisingly interesting and fun. My official server companion:

Just… look at that picture. He causes mental scars for life. Isn’t that a solid enough damage output for you?

Ooh, a placeable / trainable etc Asurian. I was kinda convinced they’d never do that. Congrats again Barnes on breaking new ground!

Barnes is actually a nickname I’ve had since high school … well, since my first job at Burger King … where my sweet and delightful manager Molly thought my name was too much of a hike. My real name is Barnaby, but please don’t hold it against me.

Oh well, Sir Bowen is the first in that regard. But that’s because he’s an absolute legend.

They should’ve called him N-Saber. Although that sounds like a weapon from Hyperdimension Neptunia.

This has me wondering if there will someday be a Kiah of Asura?

Yes. In an infinite universe, it’s inevitable that somewhere, at some point of time, there has been, is or will be a Kiah of Asura.
