Game mode: Online official Type of issue: Misc Server type: Region:
I cannot install Battleye. I tried manually, I tried through the game installation, i doesnt work. A CMD pops up for a few seconds, then disappears, but nothing happens after that.
I have the game from steam, i played it a few months on single player, then I also tried PVP and then I noticed that I dont have Battleye, therefore I cannot play some servers.
I tried navigating to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Conan Exiles\ConanSandbox\Binaries\Win64\BattlEye and manually running Install_BattlEye.bat. I run it normal, and also opened it as Administrator. Unfortunately nothing happens. A CMD pops up for maximum 2 seconds, then it disappears and thats it, it doesnt install or do anything.
I also tried uninstalling the game, then restart PC, then installing the game again by Steam, and now when I want to launch the game I have a pop-up with 4 options:
-Play Conan
-Play Conan without Battleye
-Install battleye
-uninstall battleye
I chose “Install battleye” but the same story: A CMD pops up for maximum 2 seconds, then it disappears and thats it, it doesnt install or do anything.
Welcome to our community.
It is possible that your antivirus software is blocking the installation. Could you check if you have BEService_ce.exe file in Program Files (x86)\Common Files\BattlEye?
I checked and Yes I have the BEService_ce.exe file in Program Files (x86)\Common Files\BattlEye.
In the same folder there are also 2 other files, one named BEService.exe & another one BEService_pubg.exe.
I tried opening BEService_ce.exe from here and I see the same behavior, meaning CMD opens for 2 seconds, then closes itself, and nothing else happens. {Just out of curiosity I opened BEService_pubg.exe too and it does the same thing}
Also, I added these 2 folders
Program Files (x86)\Common Files\BattlEye
and
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Conan Exiles\ConanSandbox\Binaries\Win64\BattlEye
as exclusions in Windows Security/Windows Defender and then I tried running the 2 EXEs again (the one I wrote about initially, and the one you pointed to), but I still see the same problem, CMD opens 2 seconds and nothing else.
I only use Windows Defender on my PC, no other antivirus, I always felt that this + paying attention to what I access and download is enough security for me at least
