Bazaar and battlepass cosmetic crafting requirements are getting silly

Edit: It appears my early morning writing came off as too doomsday ‘end of conan as we know it’ so I’ll try to revise. I just want consistency in the crafting recipes for newly released cosmetics to be more in line with the older ones. There’s no reason for armor to have different crafting recipes for each piece of armor such as the Nemedian civilian clothing requiring silk, hide, or leather for various pieces. There’s also no reason for cosmetic items to have end-game materials or higher-tier components in order to craft them such as the intricate spite requiring steel instead of iron, and the embalming wraps requiring silver. They’ll more than likely be used for illusions for something stronger anyway and making them more expensive means they are less likely going to be used. Bloodstone needs another purpose, why do we need it for armor stands? Nemedian Bookshelves should not require glass to make.

Hope that’s less hyperbolic than my previous post lol!

Your concern is noted but I find it quite hyperbolic. Material farming in CE is not exactly difficult or even time consuming. Should Funcom be more consistent, probably. Should we be worried for the future of bazar cosmetics because some items required a bit of common mats, yeah no.

It seems to me, in the case of blood crystals, they’re just trying to make them more relevant. Most people don’t make golems anymore as they’re slow and laggy. Otherwise, the only thing they’re good for is to access the kurak dungeon, which is somewhat useless after acquiring the recipes. So… yeah… seems like trying maintain relevance of a resource they implemented for a single chapter.

I heard what you said and I updated my post to hopefully better match my views. I hope it comes off as less hyperbolic.

I respect the fact that you see some things expensive or difficult or whatever makes you feel uncomfortable. Some others may see the exact opposite and they must be respected too. That’s exactly what Funcom devs trying to balance.
Balance is a strange thing, although most of the weight is in the middle, light edges must exist away from the center from both sides so balance will be achieved.

This is not something funcom is capable of, deal with it.

This one is in agreement.

Especially when one piece of an outfit uses armour padding and the other does not.

This one personally would rather that the premium cosmetics not be craftable as stand alone items at all, but rather be Illusions that one learns so that they can just place that appearance on any piece of gear and be done with it.

If there is some pressing need to make blood crystal relevant, make it the crafting material used for the illusions.

If someone wants to make a topic praising the devs for the fact that they need to gather iron, brimstone, tar, gold, silver, ichor, and silk just to make a whip instead of 3 steel bars, I say go for it! I’m communicating my displeasure with the recent changes to the system, and if these theoretical ‘others’ want to fire back with their praise, then more power to them!

If you don’t want to gather materials, you can always loot them “just to make a whip”. It’s something hilarious personally for conversation.
If you wish to understand my stance about bazzar items is simple, all dlc and bazzar items should be skins of vanilla items and require exactly the same materials.
But that’s what making me a player who has this opinion without knowing or understanding balance and purpose.
