So this one’s all on me. I should have known better than thinking Funcom will do anything to keep a customer happy.
So I bought the Grand King’s Game Pieces when it came out yesterday. Lo and behold, only the black pieces was unlocked. Made a zendesk report explaining the same and explicitly mentioned “Please fix this.” I didn’t say "I am not satisified with this so I’m returning it and need a refund. I said, “FIX THIS” because I wanted it. Got a reply from the amazing team saying they are looking into this issue. And in the meantime they can offer me a refund for this bundle. Saw the email late into the night half awake and I thought “hey, they are fixing this but I think they are also offering a refund for the item as a token of apology for the inconvenience or whatever”. I said yeah sure, refund is better than no refund. Got a reply today saying refund is successful. I got a bad feeling reading this and immediately logged in. Yes I got the refund. And yes, they removed the item I learnt as well. So it was a refund because I didn’t like it and I’m returning it. And even more amazing, they replaced that item in the bazaar with a shit stool for bloody 200 coins. So I can’t buy it back now also. Why are these people like this…?
I’d rather have the opportunity to return an item and get my coins back than be stuck with something that is broken or doesn’t give what was advertised while I wait for the if/when of it to be fixed.
Additionally, I don’t think I’d ever assume a refund meant you got money back and got to keep the item. Most of the times I’ve experienced something like this, it’s been a “credit” for my inconvenience.
Hi @Razztee
I’m sorry to hear you are not happy with your refund but don’t worry, you will have the chance to buy the item again.
We removed it from the Bazaar rotation until we can get it fixed. It will come back in the store as soon as this issue is resolved.
But I’m not going to. Because I see this as a fluke. If they pulled the item they knew how broke it was. Did they refund everyone? I hope so. Is this going to become a thing so I can get those croms out my pouch? I doubt it very seriously.
Broken crap gets dropped on the bazaar with frequent regularity. Till it’s a no questions asked refund, those croms are staying in my pouch.
FYI: They didn’t just remove it from your account @Razztee they removed it form the game.
That’s great! It should be a customer right to return a defective item and get a refund, even if that item is virtual. It’s nice to see a step in the right direction. Even if it’s a fluke, as @DeaconElie believes it to be, it’s still worth pointing out that this is how things should be.
Because not selling a defective product is the right thing to do? If and when they fix it, they’ll put it back into rotation.
Dana, first of all congratulations to your team for delivering our wishes and they actually get action, Bravo.
This item has multiple defects, if you use them as solo foundations to place a maproom for example, the decay timers will go crazy and your maproom will decay without any reason.
Then, they cannot be considered as normal foundations from the mase and plantation will grow again in them.
Are you aware of these issues or i have to place a bug report? Thank you for your time!
Thank you for pointing this bug out. If you can make a bug report as well that would be great.
In the meantime I’ve passed this information over to the rest of the dev team for further investigation.
