Bazaar Items only available "online"

I only play solo offline, I was notified via a reddit thread that bazaar items are only available while playing online after I purchased some bazaar items. Yes I have looked for the items couldn’t find them but I am also a new player to conan and little overwhelmed with all of it. If I can’t use the items purchased how do I get my money back, obviously it was pointless, there is no where that it states that they only work online, the dlc’s work offline.

the DLCs work offline because they are not tied to the Funcom Live Service servers, basically the bazaar items you purchased are pinging the servers to say “yes you have in fact bought this item, you may use it” you can play solo still but you need to be connected to the FLS to be granted access to the bazaar items

Welcome to the forum!

Some clarifications:

  • DLC items (e. g. Aquilonian, Nemedian, Isle of Siptah) work in all modes.
  • Black Lotus Bazaar items work in multiplayer and single player.
  • Black Lotus Bazaar items do NOT work in single player OFFLINE mode, e. g. if you don’t use an internet connection while playing.

When you say single player “offline”, you most likely refer to single player “online”, i. e. with a connection to the internet. The gameplay doesn’t use any online or multiplayer function, so it feels as if you’re playing offline on your machine. “Online” in this sense means e. g. that steam is running.
The BLB items check online if you bought them when you try to use them. That requires an internet connection, i. e. being “online”. This “online” does NOT mean playing multiplayer, on official servers or anything like that, however.

More details in the “Vendhyan” thread:

Please, funcom, fix this issue, we payed very high the price of bazaar item, we have the right using them in all circumstances…

hehe…that’s the thing. You don’t.

Sadly you do not, it’s in the EULA

We have the moral right to it.
And Funcom is in the wrong to deprive us of it.
It shows a lack of respect for consumers.

I am not talking about the legal aspect.

There is a movement about this very issue going on right now.

I would love to see governments put the full force of their judicial systems against game companies for this crap.

Since the game companies are too stupid to understand right from wrong… it’s time they get forced to do what is right. If purchasing isn’t owning, then piracy isn’t stealing. This era of paying money for nothing, needs to end.
