Dear Devs,
Why is it that I can not use my purchases when I’m playing offline in Singleplayer?
I really regret buying them now. It seems to me, that players didn’t need even more insentives besides the very high prices to NOT buy stuff in the ingame store. I’d suggest you change this and treat it like the DLC, making my purchases usable offline.
If they go out of business we are going to lose all our Bazaar items.
I’m not sure whether even dedicated servers are going to work without Funcom’s “online services”.
It should be fixed, maybe some of us will want to play the game 20-30 years from now…
They don’t even need to go out of business. Tencent just has to decide they no longer want to support Conan Exiles. Thankfully we’ll still be able to play and access the old DLCs and Siptah, but nothing from the Bazaar or Battlepasses.
hi, not everything is only online. I have a battle pass treasure chest I got for free that I can use offline. However, emotes and even the unsheathe weapon animation doesn’t seem to work offline. I paid for a armor and emote set that I cannot use because I took my game offline due to their sloppy sorry @ss workmanship. I am glad I did not download AOW 3.
I could live with an emote, however I can’t repair my Aesir base and my armor when I’m offline. This is the first time I’ve bought something in the Bazaar and due to “this experience” I won’t buy new crom coins ever again, wich I can’t imagine is what the devs were trying to achieve.
Just like digital copies of movies… must be online to see it (if it doesnt include a digital download) and the platform (like Amazon) can remove it from your account if they feel like it.
This one wishes this blight were localized to this game, but as a consumer base we have allowed this to become standard business practices.
This one still thinks it is unfortunate that they don’t let us have a localized account that notes ownership, or even bound it in a way not dissimilar to the old DLCs, but this one understands that was not the direction they wanted to go.
Yeah, I guess, also judging from the engagement to this thread, people don’t care. Maybe there are too many junkies by now that, even though they’ll freak out occasionally, will accept almost any conditions to get their fix. Way to often the dynamic between game developers and gamers appear to me like the one between sufisticated drugdealers and their entitled addicts.
As soon as a substitute for Conan comes out, looking at you Enshrouded, I am gone to where buisness practises are more consumer friendly.
Its less about the bazaar/bp in this case; more about the fact that working internet that’s on 24/7 is common. When internet is unavailable for most people, it’s as big a deal as no hot water.
Not for those of us who live outside of metropolitan centres. We are not all blessed with unlimited data, or state of the art internet. The old DLC packs work in offline mode. I am a purely Offline Singleplayer, and Conan Exiles was marketed as having an offline singleplayer mode, it is what made me purchase the game. So for them to turn around and change the rules some 5 years after the games release, to not being able to use the items I purchased offline is a slap in the face, and it feels dishonest to me.
Alright Funcom. People would be more enticed into spending money for Crom Coins if purchases worked offline. Hope this feedback appeals more to your bottom line.
Another important question is: what happens when FC decides to abandon CE, shuts the servers and everything down and just stops every support?
Are we losing everything we purchased?
I play the same way. not being able to repair my base and stuff or use the damn axe I just got in the season pass, just because my connection is lost when chilling in my basement sometimes, makes me regret returning to the game.
