Bazaar prices are extremely expensive

Elden Ring + dlc is cheaper than this new bazaar items

I would have much preferred to pay for the UE5 upgrade 20-30$ then this (Given that it was only a partial modernization - character and thrall animations, etc., are still quite outdated).

The sad thing about these whale tactics is that they create cool items for the Bazaar, but only 5% of players will ever enjoy them because of the high prices, and the rest stand longingly in front of the store window.

Consider the game Enshrouded: they are as honest, transparent, and user-centric as possible, and since its launch 2 years ago, they have sold as many copies on Steam as Conan Exiles in 9 years. With every update, more join because people are so excited they tell all their friends.

100%! DLC.
0.00000% Bazar Pieces. O.o
They kill the game with these decisions. It seems they don’t learn.
That the MODS created by normal people without profit motive work better and have so much more variety. So that when FUNCOM puts that it’s created by them, they sell it at GameGold price! these people are ridiculous. (that if Conan keeps working it’s thanks to the mod community!)
Mods = free
Copied Mods (Funcom) = $‚ €, etc. People aren’t stupid and money isn’t for giving away.

Said so in another fresh topic but Funcom feel like their choice of business name is wrongfully selected.

It’s more like GreedCom or EAcom, considering how some single items cost 760 Crom Coins
and othertimes 3-5 items as set goes for the same price. They really giving the vibe of being controlled by EA Games Like the Sims where all collective DLC goes into €2000+
and just like them it could be just 1 item or a few.

If they would use this money to make server actually playable once population hits the 10/15+ people
it would be somewhat redeemable. But When I was playing when it came out the Servers were already pretty bad and lagging heavily ever since they “Enhanced” it hasn’t improved at all.

$100 for what is essentially identical to the $10 DLCs.

For $100, you can buy Valheim, Subnautica 2, Palworld and Enshrouded. All are in beta and will full release in the near future.

Just saying, that’s what Funcom thinks this new set is worth. 4 full games of similar style.

You keep spamming this everywhere. Did you have something relevant to add?

I’m fine buying cosmetics and stuff for extra money, but not when the cosmetics cost as much as buying a new game.

Welcome to the era of enshitification where you’ll have overpriced crapiola that cost more than the game itself. It’s not going to get better fellas. Quite the opposite, in fact.

Joke is on them. Despite being able to buy whatever I want, I will not pay for this crap. If they fix the pricing, and fix ALL of the major game-breaking and immersion-breaking bugs… I still might not buy anything just to SPITE them for even attempting to pull this crap.

you think???

when main game + DLC’s + siptah cost damn less than 1 bazzar set… with like 500% more in pricing, you its not extreme expensive, its idiotical idiotism.. yet some buys it and while it will buyed, few will stop, and because few stopped, they will increase the price more so to limit till it will be 100+ per 1 bazzar set…

meanwhile, if they would have made it normal affordable to everyone ., then everyone would also possibly buy it… but not when game itself is cheaper than 47 pieces…

Sad thing is: I’d have gladly paid some money for the UE5 update. That was a lot of work, and work needs money in a capitalist economy, and that is perfectly okay.

sigh

One day, maybe, we’ll return from this freemium, whale baiting economy back to actually paying what you get - and getting what you pay for.

Like and subscribe, it really helps this post out.

Someone please correct me if I’m wrong… but what I’m seeing with this update and new set is:

  • Splendors of Vendhya: 2,200
  • Vendhyan Noble’s Bedchamber: 2,550
  • Vendhyan Shrine: 2,800
  • Vendhyan Mystic: 2,300

Total Crom is 9,850. And we should be grateful because, according to the Bazaar, these are discounted prices. The cheapest that we can currently get this is spending $70.00 for the 5,040 Crom Coin pack x2 @ $34.99 a piece.

$70??? That’s $30 more than the game by itself. Not to mention those of us that purchased all the other DLC already.

i am in no way downplaying the work that went into upgrading to the UE5 engine, but as nice as it is, aside from the engine conversion with its built in visual upgrades like lumens, etc…

all they really did was upgrade some textures after getting it running in ue5. everything else was left untouched (minus some odd content removal like the hanuman heart sacrifices) same models, same animations, same scripting, same bugs even.

having said all that, i absolutely would have thrown the original dlc prices of 10 bucks their way in a heartbeat for it. 20 for sure if it included model, animation, and behavior upgrades.

Mar 26, 2018 - Activated as part of: Conan Exiles Early Access

What can one say, bought ever DLC, Sipta and wasted to much on Crom lol.

Still around and I do fully agree, the new set ain’t even a full “DLC” for that money heck no

They cleared a net profit of over 38 BILLION dollars last year. That’s not revenue… that’s profit, after expenses.

Give them as much money as you want.

I’ll pay them when they fix the MOUNTAIN OF BUGS that currently exist and persist in this game.

this is an extremely ignorant and ill informed comment. there is a full year of work involved in this endeavor, so please try to inform yourself a bit better, before making such comments.

you should read the rest of the post. facts are facts, and i absolutely understand how much work went into changing the game engine. everything in that post is true, regardless of how you feel about it.

the work done here is just far more than just switching one engine to another, and way more t han upgrading the textures.

i am honestly in disagreement with the bazaar price structure , but i also know that the game needs support and moeny in order to continue. and the engine upgrade was free, and that is on it self, a lot of work. it is way more than just changing textures, this game had a lot of custom made modules and it was a modified Unreal engine 4…

again i am asking for more reasonable prices,

no one is forcing anyone to buy from the bazaar, and you dont need it to play tyhe game, yet we do use money . to help the game with their active development,

reading this forum some people seems to think it should be free or they should charge peanuts for it, when this game in order to continue needs to be profitable , no game studio works for free. the game obviously cant be supported with 10USD DLC model, but it shouldn cost 75 USD either for cosmetics.

no, seriously, the entire opening of my post is super important. you should read it. read it out loud if it helps. read it a few times even. there;s a reason i started with it. i can admit that there is one specific word doing a lot of heavy lifting there, but it’s there in plain english to be seen by all.

also everyone already knows they dont need to buy anything from the bazaar, or need them to play the game. thats not part of anyones concern or arguments regarding the prices, nor is anyone expecting them to work for free. and honestly, if the original dlc wasn’t listed anymore as dlc packs but changed to the new bazaar model in their entirety, most new players would have no idea whats goin on, other that “i dunno, thats kind of expensive, but whatever”.

this is a multi-faceted problem with many issues, some of which are people can see what you got for 10 dollars before the bazaar.

Tencent, funcoms parent company cleared a profit of over 38 BILLION dollars last year. They are the largest game company in the world.

They aren’t getting ONE SINGULAR ADDITIONAL CENT from me… until they fix this game.
