Bazaar prices are extremely expensive

I think they should review the prices in the bazaar; they’re ridiculously expensive. I’m not asking for them to be free, but I don’t know… something more affordable so players can buy them without having to take out a loan. One building costs almost €20, and now two packs of the same building cost another €20… that “pack” adds up to about €60. I don’t know about you, but it seems expensive to me.

I agree. It is way too expansive. I have no issues to buy cosmetics. Not this price.

Sure, me too. If it were the other way around, I know that way it helps keep the game going. But like I said, not at those prices. Sorry. And I’ve bought a lot from the marketplace. But lately, they’ve gotten a bit out of hand, to be honest.

Agreed, it is so expensiove that it is even insulting they are trying to sell at the same prices of cosmetics sold by AAA companies, and of course the service itself its not remotely close to those companies

at least Im thankful they decided to rotate the market with overpriced trash a month and a half after release, long after the hype has died down and I completed all the content (again) so no point in buying anything if Im just going to log once every 10 days to refresh decay for months until they release somethign new

give me my Poitain Knight Armor set from bazaar, just open the shop full

full game prices, that is ridiculous

This.

I will not buy at these prices. NO WAY. Not EVER. Not with the amount of bugs this game still has.

copy/paste of my post from the patch discussion thread:

Hi, just created a forum account, been playing since day 1 of beta. So… is there an actual legitimate reason that what once would have been 1 dlc pack (vhendya) for 20 bucks is now 5 seperate bazaar packs for around 80 dollars? The extreme price inflation on the bazaar needs to be adressed, it’s absolutely obsurd to see item packs with 10 or 11 peices in them that can cost more than half the price of the actual game…

edit: it’s equally obsurd that the bazaar items, once crafted, can only be used by people who own the bazaar item. none of the actual dlc has that limitation, as far as i remember the pre order digital/physical bonus items didnt even have that restriction.

The prices are bonkers at this point…

People of the Dragon DLC (Nemedian) $9.99 USD

  • 48 new Nemedian building pieces, including new options.
An expanded full set of building pieces with the same stats as existing tier three.
  • 15 new armor pieces in three sets, such as the Nemedian infantry armor.
Light, medium and heavy sets with an epic end-game version of each.
  • 12 new Nemedian weapons including a shield.
Same power as iron weapons with an epic end-game version of each weapon.
  • 32 new placeables, such as books, a flag, bed and fireplace.
Craft them at the new Nemedian artisan bench.
  • 3 new Nemedian horse saddles.
Equip your horse with a light, medium or heavy saddle (Steam page)

This overpriced and dissected set currently in the Bazaar is comparable to the aforementioned DLC in terms of item quantity and quality. The prices to purchase all of this DLC sized set is 11400 crom coins. That means if you have 0 coins atm, you will need to purchase two different packs, $34.99 and $49.99. You will have a balance of +1440cc. I didn’t buy into the Corinthian set for the same reasons, I did purchase the complete Yamatai set and use it extensively but it was considerably less expensive than this insanity.

I see what you did FC, tossing the tree in the bazaar after the posting about that tree items were a low priority, testing that market eh?

Also…

ORB OF NERGAL FOR THRALLS WHEN?

Actually, it’s even worse than that, because some parts of this overall Vendhyan ‘set’ are not yet available in the bundles currently on the bazaar - so presumably those other items will rotate in as another bundle or two in the future, driving the overall price fo the ‘complete’ Vendhyan ‘set’ even higher…

Edit: The set apparently DOES include triangle pieces. They weren’t displayed in the shop, but the latest community update says they are included.

.. and to add insult to injury: The Vendyan building set, again, is missing many of the usual pieces, especially triangle foundations.

I bought several of the other build sets in the expectation that they’d add/sell the missing pieces later, e. g. the Vanir winter set. Getting ripped off once is annoying, getting ripped off twice is aggravating, but being ripped off once and not even getting the chance to getting ripped off the second time is for some reason even more aggravating.

So… no Vendyan build set for me.

Also, it looks a tiny bit boring imho. I like the aesthetic they allude to, but… nah, not good enough.

Also, Telith’s Ghost isn’t included. So no money from me!

The UE5 upgrade was free. So somewhere the money needs to be made. I guess this is it.

No. Just no. The upgrade was free to draw people back and bring new players to buy ridiculously overpriced items from the bazaar. Garanteed. This is pure predatory financial tactics.

Before the apparent creative dev change, a 40 dollar game and high quality/item count dlc at 10 to 20 dollars saved the entire company. this is pure bleed the whales market strategy. it is beyond mind-boggling that they wont just release entire packs AS DLC PACKS, at normal prices (as before) and completely rethink the bazaar as a feature, hell, sell the battlepasses agian, and let people buy and complete them on their own time. this FOMO suck em dry strategy is already turning the small loyal fanbase against funcom, and is actively preventing new people from even bothering to try the game, or buy anything else after getting the base game.

I purchased every single original dlc pack, and preordered siptah, on both pc and ps4. since I came back recently, i’ve purchased 50 bucks worth of crom coins to buy the “age of x” packs (which, and i can’t verify, was told by some people doesnt even include all the battlepass items from those ages), and since this blatant **** you to fans with the new pack being spit into 5 peices for 80 bucks, i’m not spending another dime on funcom, and i am by far NOT the only one.

Ah you must be new, they have always ripped us off.

That seems to be the intent. I’m not convinced it will be the result, given how many people won’t buy it. But maybe they catch enough whales to convince themselves it’s still working and that they wouldn’t have earned more with a more reasonable approach that earned goodwill instead of ill-will and got purchased by many more players…

Hmmm, to buy a single cosmetic from the BLB or a dlc sized paid creation for Skyrim for half the price?

Honestly I won’t be purchasing anything from the Bazaar set at this point if this is how they want to do business. Hike prices up and not even include ALL of the base building pieces is a scummy move by funcom.

You said it dude. I can afford it. All of it. Every time. Easily… but I WILL NOT buy this. They don’t get to sit here and NOT address the MOUNTAIN of bugs in this game and then simultaneously charge TWICE what I paid for the game for a single bazaar set.
