Beds should not kill you

Sometimes when I lay down on a bed (Luxurious Bed, not sure if others are affected) and log out, when I log back in I take damage or just outright die. The message and server logs that say “you were killed by yourself” are not helpful - a specific cause of death should be reported.

Please provide a step-by-step process of how the bug can be reproduced. The more details you provide us with the easier it will be for us to find and fix the bug:

  1. Use emote to lay down on back on Luxurious Bed (no idea if this is relevant)
  2. Log out with full health
  3. Log in
  4. Sometimes health is reduced, or I am completely dead

I don’t think it’s related to bed as i died multiple times in my base even when i was not near bed. Can You test it without bed?

I can login just fine as long as I am not on a bed lying down. Once I do ly down it kills me almost every time I log in. People were talking about this a few months back. I don’t use a bed anymore. I log out in an empty room.

The amount of bugs you have to work around in this game is ridiculous. Don’t lay down in your bed and log out because you might die! Additionally, don’t even log out while in your base because when you log in the game physics/collision might be bugged and you’ll be floating around on air as you try to walk around your base.

I generally log out on the ground, but I recently logged out in my bed and was painfully reminded of why I adopted the habit of logging out on the ground outside.

It does not only happen on beds but on the fiber bedroll as well…

omg thanks, I was wondering what killed me, why I logged in and was already dead… both time I was coldheartedly killed by a bed
