Bring back the dark

However, sometimes on Siptah the days are as dark (gloomy) as the nights - those days make me feel like logging out as they are so depressing.

Tried it and im very grateful you put your work into this mod and shared it. However for my personal taste:

1- The night are what i wanted , dark and the rain is fun, something changing but:
2- The days are mostly very gloomy and depressing. compared to base where its all time same but sunny and uplifting. Also there is some weird light effect with the ground, when it isnt sunny like in base game, the ground turns black and looks bad.

So all in all I have unsubscribed. I guess for me it could only work with a lot of adjustable options, which is prolly a crapton of work. As said its my personal view only, its very impressive as mod and might be good for many persons

A torch would hinder your outdoor visibility at night in reality.

Try turning down your gamma and brightness in settings.

Depends on what you’re trying to do. Also, in reality, torches only last like ten minutes, tops.

That would affect daylight as well.

that doesn’t do whats needed to make the game look good, if i do that hen it messes witht he daylight and makes other stuff to dark aswell.

and i would think around the tower should also be a lil bit darker since it is the focus point of the of the map and suppose to look dark and creepy…

i notice a lil spot in the red woods also last night that got a lil darker and on it look real nice in that section but walk a few spots to over and it went away walk back and it was still there just that one section seems darker then the rest…

Yep, that’s you to a ‘T’
I prefer the scarinessesses of pitch black night, but also know I am in a complete minority so accept it - I can always turn the screen brightness down (and back up) if I want.

I do also accept that there might be nightmares trying to run the Maelstrom with all the lights off. Perhaps there’s some international regulation saying we must be able to see the creature that’s about to kill us than die of fright and nightmares int he real world :stuck_out_tongue:

If raiding in conan were more nuanced/competitive I’d make the argument that darker evenings are critical to being able to pull off surprise raids, as the darkness gives you a place to hide.

But it’s not, so I won’t make the argument.

I really don’t know why they changed the nights in Siptah anyway…
In all seriousness the nights are a joke… it is almost as bright as day.

It will only get dark on the edges of the storm during the night, you NEVER EVER need a torch.

One of the reasons that makes a survival game is dealing with dark nights, the world is a lot more dangerous during the nights and makes it way more exiting.

Now its just an arcade building game with little combat that’s done by your OP thralls… lol
