Bug Description:

I discovered that players are using the Orb of Negal workbench with a hack to change the size of the player, the hack allows you to bypass the player size limit, with the hack the player can become giant or tiny (1 pixel) I believe there are many reports of players entering other players’ bases under the door using the minimum size of 1 pixel I suggest that the Orb of Negal be disabled for a while, so that hacker players stop abusing it.

Bug Reproduction:

I have been observing a player who uses a hack, he has had several accounts banned, and everywhere there is an Orb of Negal bank, this is what they offer to change the size of your characters with a hack

disable the Orb of Negal for some time, so that it is not possible for players to use it with the intention of hacking

How did you discover this?

Why are you saying they’re the size of a pixel? Do you mean something else like just very tiny?

No one can enter a base under a door. A combination of things are happening: undermesh exploit, hacks such as ignoring ownership, exploiting lag.

This is why I’m begging to remove or temporarily disable Negal’s Orb, just doing so would put an end to a good portion of certain hacks

kiki, there is terrible hacks in this game, so what he is saying is probably truth

you don’t remenber the giant toon hack ? that i saw on my server too something like 3 year ago (was on official server)

@manovald you should open a zendesk ticket and repost what you are explaining here with your video link, so at least even if it take time, you can be sure that fc will have a look to what you explain, as sadly posting on forums will not give you insurance that they will look at it.

to open a ticket, simply inside conan in the general menu, click on request help and follow procedure.

yeah and well there is even more terrible hack that sadly i had to experience as it was used against me on official, well all recorded and always sent to zendesk all informations (when its linked to hacking with clear evidence they always look at it, even if it can take time)

You can place bombs through dooes by abusing the little gap that is “under the door”. So why not abuse it when you are very very small?

The one link I got to work had nothing to do with the bench or shrinking. That is the under mesh camera angle, not some one getting small.

i don’t think, video i looked was showing something else, and undermesh view is something else, anyways as i said he need to sent it to zendesk directly because it is not to us to talk about, and in my opinion what he is pointing out is may be what have been used with a hack to acheive what i saw on my official server.

Not like that’s going to do anything of substance. They’ll be relegated to “thanks for your report” and “we hope this situation has resolved itself”.

Considering staff do not appear to even be moderating the forum today should tell you something. Normally this thread would be locked.

hem, i talk about this kind of problem having may be done over 300 reports of hacking problem, so yes with this experience i still recommend him to sent this to zendesk as obviously it is not here on forum that it would have an effect.

I’m not disagreeing that is the correct process I’m just questioning as to the point if nothing is truly done about it?

Discussions about hacking tend to be met with hostility by the community and being silenced, it requires discussion.

from my experience, i can testimony that for case of hacking wth evidence zendesk & fc can react quickly, i even saw in past, functionnality of game been put off after reporting some stuffs,. but well you are right that really a lot of work, but if it make the game better for all it worth it.

anyways moderator on forums (when they look) hide any discussion about hack as this is in fc forum policy, and you are right that in most of case, part of community that have never been exposed to this kind of stuffs, can be hostile when some people try to report some hacking problems.

so if we want to reach dev, it has to go through zendesk, and i really think this guy pointing out something to look at by dev as he provides a clear video provided after you asked him :slight_smile:

Are they only banning the players using 3rd party or actually addressing the hack being used though? We both know that only banning the player isn’t a solution and hardware banning is still relatively easy to bypass.

banning for sure, they try to fix, sometime for real, sometimes they fix one door, but let the 9 other doors open :frowning:

I might have been wrong but I never thought this was the “gap”. It was more exploitation of the issue with building pieces not shielding against anything being placed.

Considering you can place building pieces and placeables through things. You can also exploit loot bags but that’s a bit different.

Watching the videos its hard to really pinpoint it, unfortunately the Youtube translation tool is poor so I can’t even get a sense of what they’re trying to explain.
