Game mode: Online official
Type of issue: Bug
Server type: PvE
Region: US (server 1502)
I thought this was a test server bug until I found out, by accident, how to recreate it on a live server – I captured a thrall, stumbled into water deep enough to swim, and for the rest of the evening, that thrall’s spawnpoint stayed empty.
Please provide a step-by-step process of how the bug can be reproduced. The more details you provide us with the easier it will be for us to find and fix the bug:
In a location near water that is deep enough to swim, knock out a thrall and begin towing it.
Blunder into water deep enough to swim. As soon as you do, it unequips the towing cord (or chain) and the thrall gets stuck. Notice that even though the thrall is (temporarily) visible on the bank, the cord will not attach, the unconscious thrall cannot be interacted with.
Run far enough away to force your client to update, or relog in place. Notice that your client was wrong, the thrall actually disappeared as soon as you dropped it in the water.
Return to the original spawnpoint, 15 minutes or more later. No thrall!
Test was originally performed on server 1502 in Sepermeru, in the Southlake area. I was towing the named tanner across the longish bridge from the center island of Southlake south towards Razma’s house when I slipped and fell into the water.
