Cooking Unappetizing Fish and Shrimp no longer produce ichor. This is a problem since our healing system is dependent on Alchemical Base which is dependent on ichor.
Please restore Unappetizing Fish and Shrimp ability to produce ichor.

Can confirm.
Out of interest - were you able to place any basic shellfish traps (I couldn’t manage to get them down)
Hopefully, if this is a bug it will be fixed very soon.
If not, don’t forget you can farm ichor by pressing rotten meat.
I may switch to a rotten meat farm for ichor anyhow.
With essence of rot it’s ridiculously easy (though I don’t have that recipe on siptah yet).
Hey there,
This is an intended change. Now only exotic fishes produce ichor.
@Ignasi, thank you for letting us know about this intended change regarding unappetizing fish.
Does this also mean that exotic shellfish (lobsters) will also produce ichor (and no longer the shrimp)?
Hi @Ignasi - please could you confirm how exotic fish are intended to produce ichor?
Currently testing in testlive (singleplayer, Exiled Lands) and cooking exotic fish in an improved campfire does not produce ichor (nor does squishing them in a fluid press).
I have tried all fish in all stoves, firepits and fluid press, no where does any fish at all make icor any longer that I can find on testlive. I can find no where that exotic fish makes icor @Ignasi could you please explain where we can convert this???
I can confirm this as well. The only obvious methods on testlive for producing ichor are farming spiders, farming komodos or pressing putrid meat.
Exotic fish do not produce ichor when cooked, pressed or ground (yes I even tried the grinder).
If there’s a recipe that we need to unlock to produce ichor, for the sake of expediency please tell us where it is. I doubt this is the case though, but I wanted to cover all the bases.
And farming scorpions.
I thought cooking shellfish (exotic and rare) would produce ichor? Am I misremembering?
This is in testlive, where they’ve completely changed how you produce ichor.
Oh yeah. I wanna be covered in scorpions.
Gonna take you a about a million scorpions to give enough icor for alchemical base that we use.
Right, they are removing fish from producing ichor (at all?) but I thought exotic and higher quality shellfish still produced ichor from being cooked? Or did I have that backwards?
Exotic fish are supposed to produce ichor if you cook them, but currently on testlive they are not. It is probably a bug, but we’ll have to wait until Ignasis (or someone else from Funcom can confirm if this is the case).
That’s why I want to be COVERED IN SCORPIONS.
Um, I thought it laid it out plainly in the 2.1 patchnotes that fish now produce oil only and that ichor was removed from the consolidated stone recipe so you don’t have to farm nearly as much ichor?
(Which should also make it hard to produce alchemical bases, which should be harder to make.)
Hey there,
We’ll poke our team about the ichor issues so they can look into it.
I was able to place both fish traps and shellfish traps, but I did have to utilize a mouse, mouse wheel, the left shift & left control buttons. I usually play exclusively with my controller on the main game, but with Testlive I am having issues & have been learning to use the mouse & keyboard more.
I have also been unable to get ichor from fish & shellfish. I am playing single player.
