Yeah the Altar bug that they jump one step forward or dissapear completely is well known i guess. Idk because i cant see it in the Bugs section anymore (closed after 7 Days i guess, without a statement from the officials), so its on my list anyway till it get fixed or stated as feature 
. Try to make the place where you build the Altars a little bit bigger, because some of them , when upgrading to T2 or T3 jumps around or dissapear completely. But thats offtopic here
