Cannot refresh server ping without restarting the game

Game mode: Online official
Type of issue: Bug
Server type: Any
Region: US

There is no way, short of restarting the client, to refresh the server data in the server list. As a consequence, if my ping was over the server’s maximum ping at the moment when the client fetched the list, the only options I have are to restart the client or use direct connection.

Please provide a step-by-step process of how the bug can be reproduced. The more details you provide us with the easier it will be for us to find and fix the bug:

  1. Start Conan Exiles.
  2. Select “Play Online”.
  3. Pick any mode.
  4. Note the ping value on the server of your choice.
  5. Observe the it’s impossible to refresh the list.
  6. If your ping value is higher than the server’s maximum ping, you have to either restart the game or connect directly using the IP and the port.

Code, the reason the Refresh button shows Searching is that it’s not done. Your way is best, really, but if you wait until all servers are found (~ 7500) the button is available to use. It will show Refresh. It takes a long time since there are so many and time is a factor. The finished result is first, but it takes some 3-5 minutes.

Notice the ping change between the two pics

Not done searching -

Again, your way is faster; why wait?

Now, if they would only poll your favorites first …

Thanks for the clarification. I still think it’s a bug to not be able to refresh the ping. It doesn’t have to be the “refresh” button. Thing is, pressing the “back” button and going back into the server list doesn’t refresh the ping values, either. So something is being cached that shouldn’t be.
