Hi. I’m having an issue in game and i hope someone else encountered this error as well and can help me.
I can’t see any server in-game, only through steam’s “servers”.
A friend also has a server, and even tho theres ppl playing there, when i try to join the game always throws at me “cant join requested game”
Ive tried a few things I saw here and on other sort of forums and still couldn’t fixed it.
• opened ports
• reinstall battleye while running steam as admin
• Reinstall CE
• set steam’s max ping to 500
• reset wifi
Another guy in a topic of 2 days ago said the same, I have to ask you the same I asked him: when you state “I can’t see any server” do you mean server counts is 0 or it’s 0/X (with X > 0) ?
In the first case, if you’re not experiencing network problems and if steam is not telling you something strange (for example I experienced my steam client was unable to connect to steam without a reason for hours), the only reason I can imagine is you having another software on you PC (firewall, antivirus etc.) preventing the game to etablish connections.
In the second case your client (the game you’re running) sees the servers but the filters prevent you to see them on the list (maybe for a bug, maybe because they are unvalid for some reasons)
So first of all disable all filters to see if you’re able to see the list and if they’re valid or not. Maybe because high ping, or maybe because outdated version (have you checked to have automatic updates enabled on stem for the game right ?). If they are valids, here your workaround and enjoy the game.
If they are not valid at least you’ll be able to see why.
There are only 3 possible reasons I think for a server not being valid:
battleye required but still not working properly on your PC ( try again to re-install)
high ping (I can’t help you with that)
outdated version of the game (force update check from steam)
Even if you re-installed the game try anyway to perform verify game files from steam (right click on the game from your library), if you are VERY unlucky it could be steam failed twice the download of the last update and when you re-installed the game.
