Can't join co-op with friend

Any time I want to join a co-op game it gets stuck at “attempting to connect” forever. We have tried the recommended solutions in faq, without effect. Apart from that, we tried opening NAT, turning off the steam overlay, verifying the integrity of game files, deleting “saved” folder, running the game without battleye, also checked the launch options, decreased number of pings on steam, litteraly everything and nothing seems to work.

My computer is Windows 7, my friends is Windows 10.

Please provide a step-by-step process of how the bug can be reproduced. The more details you provide us with the easier it will be for us to find and fix the bug:

  1. Launch the game
  2. Funcom liveserver or whatever connects
  3. Attempt to join by invitation
  4. Get stuck on attempting to join

Welcome to our community.
There’s at the moment a known issue regarding Windows 7 and coop functionality. We would recommend upgrading the OS to a newer version as it is unsupported.

Co-op used to work for me until something was messed up. I was perfectly well able to join other games and even host them myself before something in one of the updates messed that up, it seems.

How about you work on a fix for it instead of giving an excuse? Not everyone has the option to move to a new OS just because someone won’t deal with their code, especially when (at least at the time that I bought the game) it stated specifically that it worked in Windows 7.
