I run a PVP-enabled RP server. Players are reporting they can not knock out other players, even when the consciousness bar is at 0. Is there some setting I have missed to allow for this?

This is a long debated topic, but it boils down to…
a game needs to be fun for all players, a system that could allow one player to take away another players control of their character would be abused.
while I realize you are a RP crowd and the action is probably consensual, this would not be the case across all platforms and playstyles.
So this is something FC has said they will not include.
There was talk about Mods to do this, but I have no idea if there are any.

I used to knock people out all the time. Is it something they recently removed then…?
Actually I didn’t know it was ever possible, the only thing I remember is you used to be able to knock out animals and then they would follow you around in a kind of floppy half alive state.
But other players?
I remember the threads debating the issue, and I remember fun com’s reply, which is what I recounted here. But I never knew of it ever being in the game, so I guess it must have been removed.
Oh yes. I have very memorable moments of knocking out other players. This would be an interesting change for them to make, without some toggle for enabling or disabling. Thank you very much for the information!
It was likely a mod feature. I am not 100% sure because I dont use this mod but didnt Conan Sexiles have something like this (before it got abandoned anyway).
