If you eat or swallow a potion or food, which should raise your carying capacity, the buff is shown, but your cc does not get higher.
Seems to work fine for me (solo and dedi). Do you use any mods?

Yes.
Sorry to not mention it. But none I would imagine to have impact on this mechanics.

Hmm. Yeah you’re right, none of those would be an immediate suspect. Could you make a backup of your game files and load without any mods, just to see if the effects work then?

I will try in single player.
But if there is no problem for you, this is at least no “official” bug, but supposedly something on my side, or on our server’s side.

So, I tested in single player WITH the same mods. And it works. this is really weird.
I will close the thread. This is obviously no “real” bug…

Found it!
It was CAS. The “Large Comfortable Pouch” gives a permanent bonus of encumbrance +45. This Blocks any other bonus on carry weight, coming from potion or food or similar items.
