Bug Description:
The player character continues to slide forward slowly when not having the FPS capped at 60. Apparently this is an old bug since there are multiple other posts about it (as linked below). I recently got a new monitor that’s 165hz and just discovered this bug existed. I have noticed that it seems most prevalent in the desert south of and near noob river when creating a character, as well as in the jungle, seems quite odd that it’s worse in some areas. Is there any development efforts going on to resolve this? This seems to be quite an old issue. Any work arounds other than just capping FPS to 60? @Ignasi Any insight into this?
Other Posts Pointing Out the Bug:
- Character moving itself
- Character moves on its own
- Slow-Mo Walking Bug
- Character Wont Stop Moving
- why does my character keep moving?
- Player “drift”
- character sliding sideway itself
- Why do I slide after moving?
- Character Moving
- My character keeps walking (barely) in one direction after i stop walking.
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Have a monitor capable of greater than 60hz refresh rate.
2. Set your FPS cap in-game to something higher that 60 FPS, for example 120, 144, or uncapped.
3. Move your character forward and observe how they continue to “slide” forward slowly before finally stopping.
