Clanmates toon seems to stay active though offline

Game mode: [Online official]
Type of issue: [Bug| Misc]
Server type: [PvP]
Region: [EU]

Well at least I think it’s a bug if a toon seems online but isnt listed in playerlist.

Got nervous after hearing a torch breaking, guessed that mate didnt go offline but just afk and checked. Would have meant an intruder having crawled up our base otherwise…
So I went up, was surprised to see said mate online. Then I checked the playerlist…
Not online.
Thus the toons seems to stay active even though the actual player looged out.
A third clanmate saw the same like me.

This would mean that bug with few people having died after logging off being real.
And not due to temperature, since a toon being active means hunger and thirst…
It’s just that at a (hopefully) low chance toons will stay active without being online.

I will provide a few screenshots via pm if requested.

Please provide a step-by-step process of how the bug can be reproduced. The more details you provide us with the easier it will be for us to find and fix the bug:

  1. Play normally.
  2. Log out.
  3. Have someone check the toon and have bad luck with rng?
  4. ??? (Possibly die while offline?)

Toons always stay in the world when the player is offline, in a lying-down “unconscious” mode. But I’m assuming that’s not what you’re talking about?

I heard a torch breaking. I never heard of an unconsious and lootable player holding a torch…
Logging in to check on said mate
Wow. I will never say something like that again.
Hunger is at ~50 and thirst at ~30 on that toon. Pfew.
… and holding a torch. :hushed:

It seems that serverrestart fixed the toon from standing to properly unconsious.
(I uploaded that screen due to no name being shown  )

Correct. By staying active I mean it looked as if the player was still logged in.
However. I guess the best thing we players can so is ensure that our hut actually provides full cover, since there are holes in that at some points. (=without any obvious reason, cover gets reduced to like 33%)
