Co-op teathering

Dear Funcom,

My husband and I really enjoy playing Conan together. The problem is he gets bored easily and we end up jumping from game to game. This is fine and all, but it really sucks to keep starting over because our base decays. We tried a private game but the tether distance is horrid. Is there a way to please get rid of it? Its the only Survival game I play with him that has a tether distance.

Co-op mode uses the host’s console or pc as the server, hence the tether. Only way to avoid that would be to rent a private server.

You can set up your own computer to run as a server if it is powerful enough. If only a max of two people play on it, it shouldn’t be that bad.

Ditto to setting up your own server. I use an old ‘HP 8300 Elite Tower’ PC. Runs Windows 10 fine, and is now cheap to buy. Limited by the HP 320W PSU but I can still run a GTX 1050 graphics card with no problems.

Regardless the workarounds the tethering system should have an on-off option.

As much as we could want this option, I’m afraid it’s just not possible with the current limitations.
