Bug Description:
Increasing glitches with combat and control and even the first sight of the apparently, very old, no stamina bug. Game will first glitch on L & R Mouse keys for combat (can sometimes be fixed with switching to other items and back; or relogging) up to L & R Mouse not working; nor LCtrl or LAlt - only WASD remains. Then movement only is allowed and stamina to Zero. These return on Death, but only for a little while. Engaining in combat seems to cause this. Gathering resources does not. 100s & 100s of hours in the past, newly returned for 2 weeks with friends and this makes it unplayable. Rather shocked.
Remove bracelet to debug your character and then avoid logging out in a bed or chair etc. Interacting with these placeables is the primary cause of this.
Sorry? Deleting your character surely isn’t considered a solution… If this only then will reoccur every two weeks or so, then the game is permanently unplayable. Someone is expected to redo over the 2 weeks again and again just to play… Honestly? Going to sleep in your bed is considered wrong? I used to do this again and again over the previous 100s of hours. Please confirm that you suggest only restarting from scratch?
Thank you. I was fairly sure that removing your bracelet was the way to permanently leave the game. Simply dying will therefore surely accomplish the same thing?
Yes. Any means of character death would do. The main reason I mentioned it is to differentiate from relogging, because that’s what people attempt first, but when your character is bugged out and you’re on a server with regular settings, your body will remain in the world. When you log back in you will simply resume controlling the bugged out character. In comparison when you die, the game destroys your old character and creates a brand new one from scratch - getting rid of any character-specific bugs in the process.
(To clarify, I was referring to the Remove bracelet entry in the ESC menu under the Character group, which is simply a kill command with the purpose being exactly this, to reset it in case you get stuck / bugged out, and not suggesting to complete the Exiled Lands main objective of “removing your bracelet and leaving the world”)
The main takeaway though is to avoid interacting with furniture that have snap-in animations like beds / chairs / etc. especially logging out while being snapped into them. These temporarily place restrictions on your character that aren’t properly cleared when you stop interacting - resulting in stamina not regenerating and other issues with control.
Anyway, this is a known bug and will hopefully be fixed in the next update
