Bug Description:
I was passing through a fellow player’s house in H4 to get to the other side. I think that I was moving faster than the game was loading the house. There was a sandstorm and I wanted some safety whilst cutting though. Anyway, I got stuck under a ramp. I guess the player used ramps in construction and I’m stuck between ramps and foundation. I can’t roll, or move my action buttons. I loaded and reloaded but I’m still appearing in the same place. At this point I’m waiting to die.
Bug Reproduction:
I was running through another player’s home (exterior) and there was a sandstorm. I’m not sure if there’s a correlation there.
The good thing is that I decided to log off at the point of death since the game refused to kill me. Now I spawn above the structure through which I had fallen. It took 2 hrs of idleness.
If you have nothing on you, no sigils, potions applied, etc.,… you’ll lose nothing by pulling your bracelet.
You can recover any items within your inventory if you die by summoning corpse on the circle of power. As long as you’ve learned this spell it’s even easier.
All recipes, obelisk points, learned knowledge, etc.,… will stay with your player character.
It’s no different than dying, just be careful not to hit Recreate Character which is directly below. Easy mistake that many have had the misfortune of doing including myself.
Let’s say you traveled far and need to get back to your base quick because your pizza has been delivered or insert any reason, simply Remove Bracelet, spawn at home, then go to your Circle of Power and Summon Corpse, ensure you access the floating body and your character now has all things equipped and in inventory. You won’t retain things like buffs applied through food or potions however, you’ll have to reapply those.
I use Remove Bracelet far more than is probably necessary. But, just like you’ve found yourself in a bugged situation, Remove Bracelet is also there as probably one of the most versatile debugging methods.
With that said, there’s a difference between the end game storyline to remove your bracelet and the menu option for Remove Bracelet. The storyline brings your journey to and end essentially deleting your character, while the function of Remove Bracelet is simply dying.
Yes your bracelet will not disappear, it went integrated from the character.
The possibility that your bracelet disappears diffinively is to follow the Quéte.
To do this, you will need to go to the nameless city, follow the instructions of the archivist, then when you would have the prerequisites, made the “master key”. In the designated place.
Once used you would then have a scene showing your character quit the land of exile.
I submit that as says @Kikigirl because although I have made the key keyse I did not use it, that your character is erased.
