Yes, Cause Every company but Sony can make mistakes? I doubt it… Or Maybe Sony figure out what issue was, instead of doubleing sure it was them, they passed it off on Funcom…and then realized after patch was put in place, the issue was still there. opps… humans be humans.
Everyone wants damn light switch fix… god forbid they take there time and do it right. Cause you know… them rushing fix, and then finding there still issues.
YAYS!
I get people want back online… and worry about there stuff, and were they got kicked from game. Jeez, So much of this topic is people venting and treatiing certain parties like there scum of world.
-_-’
I think, give or take issue at hand… They’ve been known to pop in on weekends with updates for issues related to there stuff. Since last Sony ps4 patch, several games have had issues with online and running. It could be ungoing issue there trying sort.
To be honest, it’s not just Funco that chooses quantity over quality. It has now become the industry standard to crank out DLCs without ever bothering to fix the issues that plague the core game. We’ve been trained to now accept that when we drop say $60.00 for a game, we’re no longer buying a complete game that will be updated with fixes and new content that comes with a subscription. If you want the complete experience you must purchase every add-on and DLC and, in the process, ultimately shell out an amount that is counted in potentially hundreds of dollars. All the game developers are in on this racket. It’s the proverbial “new normal” and it exploits gamers like us. Sadly we, the gaming community, will do nothing about it despite the fact that we have it in our power to change this.
What’s working from home got to do with anything. There jobs on computers on software. That can be done anywhere with a stable connection. Hardware issues need to be delt with on site. Hel they ould be on the moon and still get it done. Let’s try this your boss tells you somethings broke check it out fix it. And every time they talk to you witch is far and few between all you say is I’m working on it. No plan on how no information on what caused the problem no nothing just I’m working on it. 3 days this goes on. How long would you keep your job? Took them 3 days to say we suspended decay. Ither because they had only just thought of it or they dint want to say anything at the start because they dint want the back lash of the insuation this could be 3 4 5 a week long thing. So instead of being open and transparent with us we get this - points to all that’s above- they handled it poorly but this is common even tho ya know they have ppl whose job is pr and mongering all this social media
The number one rule of patching is inform your users. A little communication could have fixed all of this discord. Announce the time you are doing the patch. Highlight who it will affect and advise what issues there may be. Present what the contingency plan is. If the update fails, try rolling it back. If that is not possible, frequent status updates help placate upset users. It’s not the patch that’s upsetting people, it’s the lack of communication. If you’re pushing a patch, what are the patch notes. Is there something to look forward to? Is this the patch that nerfs thralls again? Is that the reason for the silence? If you’re having server issues, what are they? There is plenty you could be saying, but are choosing not to.
I do network administration and cyber security for a living, and patching is a necessary evil. Sometimes things simply don’t go as planned and break something. There is a right way to talk to your users and a wrong way. Simply blaming Sony and stepping back is not the way.
For those that keep trying to say there are no fixes to problems…https://www.conanexiles.com/updates/
40 updates. FORTY! This shows they are actively working on issues. And let’s be completely honest…the majority of you didn’t pay for this game and snagged it on PS+ last year. So please quit your nonstop complaining. This company has tried very hard to stay competitive with the likes of EA, Rockstar, and Activision. CE is the game that has carried the company out of the red and into the black…enough to get Tencent’s attention. They aren’t going to abandon it without getting the next revenue stream in place (which I believe they are counting on Dune. So we have at least a full year left on CE). I appreciate their efforts in a game that is pretty much 3 years old and working on it on the weekend to do so. I believe what we are seeing is withdrawal symptoms in folks…lashing out at the dealer that doesn’t have the next fix.
It’s possible to believe that they’re handling of this is unacceptable without making personal attacks. I’m sure they’re aware that the more time the game is down the higher risk of profit/player loss. They aren’t intentionally waiting just so your furnace with 86 iron bars decays.
That being said, is there an actual reason people believe this won’t be fixed until Monday aside from the residents of negative town? Them disabling decay could just as easily be for the people who didn’t get a chance to log in to the game in the days before this.
Funcom absolutely needs to do a better job at communicating with the player base, and what’s happening is unacceptable. Just remember they did not steal or kick your dog, and none of this is personal lol
I’ll just keep reposting my thread from September 2019 until I get an answer as to how you get 3 DLCs done in the year but still haven’t even fixed Thralls vs dragons?
