I have a Conan Exiles account since 2018, I stopped playing in 2023, today I went to log in and it says I was permanently banned for undue claims, I wasn’t even playing the game in the last 2 years, and when I did play, I didn’t commit any type of abuse.
When you last played were you a member of a clan? Did you leave the clan when you stopped playing - or did the clan continue playing even though you did not?
When you are a part of a clan, if one member breaks the building rules, all members of the clan receive the same punishment. It is not possible for Funcom to know who built the wrong thing, only that the clan all own it - so they suspend all members.
To receive a permanent ban would require repeated breaking of the rules - but that could easily have happened without your knowledge if you were no longer playing but were still a member of the clan.
Fortunately, even with a permanent ban that only stops you from playing on the public servers. You are still able to play on any private server 9or in singleplayer or co-op.
If you were not a member of a clan, then maybe there has been some sort of bug. It may also be possible to appeal against a ban. I do not know that part of the system but others do know how it works.
@Kikigirl is that something that could be appealed against through the new helpdesk? Or did they remove that function when they moved away from Zendesk?
I was a member of a clan, but as the clan had more than 10 members that alternated, I stayed inside the base, but outside the clan, the clan was wiped a few months after I stopped playing, and they didn’t play again and neither did I play again, now with the updates I decided to go back to playing and I came across this information that I was permanently banned, my account is personal and I don’t lend it to anyone, even so I had this bad surprise.
Yeah, that definitely doesn’t sound right. If the clan stopped playing there should be no way for you to have been banned.
I would suggest that your best bet is probably to appeal against the ban by going to Funcom’s official help centre - here’s what they say in their ‘rules’ post:
“Permanent Bans are open to appeal through our Help Center. Select ‘Ban Appeal’ as the type of issue. Please provide relevant information such as character names, servers you’ve played on, and clans you were part of.”
Thank you very much, I have already sent them a ticket, I hope they restore my account, so I can go back to exploring the maps and the new changes they made.
