Convergence Traps work on EL?

We’re on the EL map on a private server and some people don’t want to deal with purges. We thought “hey, let admin in some convergence traps with Lesser??? And Unstable??? for people to use”. But when one of the guys tried to use it, it doesn’t give him the option to place essence of any kind. Are convergence traps not able to be used on the EL map? I’ve seen a few spoty posts from people saying it works on Savage Wilds, so I thought it’d work on EL, but I’m not sure. Can anyone help me out? Doesn’t work on EL, or is should and something else is wrong?

Does the person have the Isle of Siptah expansion?

Dunno, I’ll ask. I assume that if he doesn’t, he can’t use the traps and we’ll have to go back to the ol’ drawing board.

The Convergence Trap does work on the Exiled Lands, but you need to have learned the Elder Constructions recipe to craft the convergences. The recipe is learned by interaction on Siptah and not by a scroll, so the only way to learn it in the Exiled Lands is by console command.

If I remember correctly, the command is LearnFeat 91334

I really hate how Siptah-exclusive the Convergence Trap is, there should be a way to learn, craft, and fuel it in the Exiled Lands or there should be an equivalent device. There is no legitimate reason for it to be Siptah-exclusive.

We run Pippi and I created a free kit with the trap and some essence in it that he grabbed. Does he still need to learn the feat to use it?

Yes. You cannot craft the convergences without the feat.

He just responded that he doesn’t have Siptah :disappointed:.

Tephra, do u know if i can use that command thru Pippi to give him that feat?

I know next to nothing about Pippi. I have never used any mods.

Huh…how about everyone leaves the clan and then comes back into one. The purge timer resets.

Yeah, there are a few work arounds, but I was trying to make it easy on them. We’ll figure something out…eventually lol
