There’s often corpses going into the ground after I killed them. Only happened with humans. You can still loot them if you remember exactly where you killed them, but it’s either they go into the ground or they become invisible. Very often lead me to lose the valuable loot they could have. I can’t loot during the fight and if I understand it right that only happens when I turn away from them so that they’re not on my screen. Could be something to do with graphics that don’t load behind me. I play on Medium settings. Also quite often items in the world shine with purple for a moment when I first see or turn to them, like crafting stations in my house or interactables. It’s not a big deal, but quite immersion breaking.
Also was a bug with Challenges that stopped counting. There was a challenge to cut 10 trees. On 6th tree my tool broke so I went to repair it and back to cutting. It stopped counting any tree I cut after that. Wherever that tree might be.
Even with bugs, I really love the game and it got me addicted, I wish to see it grow and improve!
Greetings Kauilennah!
Welcome to our forums and thank you for your kind words about our game!
Also, we greatly appreciate your report regarding the corpses and the challenges.
Situations like this may be due to mods that are being used in the server.
In order for us to test this out, I would suggest for you to delete the following file:
Conan Exiles\ConanSandbox\Mods\modlist.txt and manually unsubscribe from all your Conan modes. This will guarantee that mods are not loaded.
Please let us know if the issue persists after performing the suggested steps Kauilennah.
I did what you suggested and still the blinking of objects and NPCs persisted, just less than before. The disappearing corpses is still an issue. I guess I’ll stop using the mods regardless, especially after you added the fact of transforming the look of the items. Thanks for that feature! But I hope the issue will be fixed. Here’s my PC specs to make it more clear, I guess:
Windows 10
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960
Intel Core i3-4170 CPU @ 3.70GHz
16GB RAM
1TB SSD
About the challenges - did not have any similar issues with them since the moment of that bug I reported above. Only thing I had was the timer or challenge daily reset kept going back to 15 minutes each time I closed it. So I had to keep the Challenges tab open for whole 15 minutes to keep the timer going. That can be confirmed by the fact that after it went through, it said “Next daily challenge update in 23 hours and 51 minutes” instead of 59 which makes more sense to actually be. That was yesterday without any mods.
