For this idea, I am suggesting that the Beast of Burden perk be moved to the level 20 corruption level for the Expertise Attribute and that is the only perk on the Expertise tree. Yes, this is something of a rework for Expertise Attribute. So, let’s begin with what each level of corruption in Expertise would give;
- +1% HP/STAM
- - 5% Max Weight
This probably looks a little strange to most players, I promise you it will make sense by the end of it. Basically, investing Corruption into the Expertise Attribute nets you a reduced cap on the effects of permanent corruption have on final HP/STAM points. Reducing Heavy Corruptions 50% to 30% reduction for maximum Corruption at the cost of Maximum inventory weight, with MAX Expertise Corruption eliminating your MAX Inventory Weight entirely, off setted with the perk Beast of Burden. I don’t know what should take Beast of Burden’s place on the normal Expertise Attribute line, and it’s ok if nothing takes its place.
As for why I am pushing this set up forward is twofold concerning PvP game play. First a lot of PvP builds use and abuse Beast of burden. This is about changing up and balancing the PvP meta surrounding Beast of Burden, concerning when players get downed and then subsequently gets what has been referred as vacuumed (The ganker hits take all on the victim’s body). While this leaves the option still open for PvPer’s the cost for doing this gets much rougher and less universal.
Second Reason being that have a way to lower the penalty that Corruption imposes on players makes corruption builds more Viable outside the highly Specialized builds that we don’t even see too much anymore.
Last point of discussion for this post is about mounts, specifically the two summoned mounts. Since under this setup fully corrupt Expertise Attributes with beast of Burden removes the player ability to use normal mounts. Summoned mounts should have their inventory space removed and not be bothered by being Over Encumbered. There is more that I could say about the summoned mounts but that is another thread.
That’s it for this post, love to hear the feedback for this one.
