Hello my game says corruption detected upon loading. It says to reinstall to avoid further issue and I did so and it still informs me with this prompt upon loading the game. The game did crash constantly before I reinstalled so that’s changed but I’m still getting the corruption detected. When should we expect this to be patched?
Doesn’t look like a fix is coming. We were told the fix for this was in certification more than a month ago; and there was never any patch/update. This thread seems to think Funcom isn’t going to fix it, they’re just going to wait for the new console to roll out and hope Microsuck hardware can just fulfill the memory demand of the “bug” they put in.
There was a patch 2 weeks ago iirc, but it didn’t fix everything, although it did fix the lost connection to the server issue I was experiencing, the dashboard still happens every once in a while though
@Hugo @Ignasi is there ant ETA when this is going to be truly fixed? It’s super frustrating seeing PC get hit fixes left and right for Siptah, but we are left behind for xbox.
Keep in mind, those are likely two different teams. I’m not 100% on this, but I think ZPX in Portugal are the folks who do the console ports. And you simply can’t iterate on consoles like you can on the PC, primarily because of the certification process.
When Oslow wants to make a change, they push it out on Steam and that’s it. With consoles, each build needs to be verified by Microsoft or Sony (keep in mind certification isn’t about bugs in the game, it’s to make sure the game doesn’t crash the console or interfere with other software, that’s pretty much it).
This is why I’ve repeatedly stated that Funcom’s “agile” process of constant iteration and “moving fast and breaking things” is central to the massive issues they’ve had with consoles over the years. They simply don’t invest enough time or resources in QA testing on the console platforms. In effect, they have been treating their customers as their QA team for years now.
