i started conan over a year ago without playing any other game but it’s been three weeks since i quit , me and my team don’t have a good connection it was not great before but now it is totally unplayable, not to mention crashes, freeze, rollback and more , funcom makes us understand that we are nothing for them, they prefer to release a new paid dlc rather than optimize the game for the fans, we are more than disappointed , I could not even explain it …

“Corrupted Files” Message and NPC Issues
Getting the “Corrupted Files” message on the main menu. I’ve found that there are a few unofficial servers that I can spawn and play just fine, but most of them dashboard me less than a minute after spawning. To remedy this, I have to spawn in Offline Single Player for about a minute, then I am able to spawn and play on an offline server, for about an hour or so, before I am dashboarded again. I usually don’t have to spawn in single player again, but after about an hour I am randomly dashboarded again.
I’ve also noticed a big issue with the NPCs in different camps/villages not rendering, completely invisible, until they are literally right on top of you and you’re completely surrounded; by then it’s too late and you’re dead.20200914_210726|690x920

I have noticed ever since the last update that created the corrupted data, the DLC offers page doesnt show up at the start anymore. I own all the DLCs and always thought it was weird that that would still show up, maybe something was implemented to make this not show up for people who own all the DLC, but something went wrong and created a corrupt data message for everyone(including who dont own all the dlc)
Just thinking a theory here

Can’t sign in again. Same thing, won’t let me in server.
It’s been half a month and this “hotfix” is still awaiting certification.

Bought the game two days ago and upon first time starting it, I got the corrupted file message. I was able to play about 5 hours worth of the game and now I get homepaged within the first moments of loading into anything. Any idea of when this can be resolved? This is a terrible start for new player.
Edit: I’ve reinstalled several times. Doesn’t do anything.

Over a month since the update killed xbox.
You are within the refund policy, if you want to request a refund from xbox, you can use youe MS account web page.
If any of you can get a refund do it before its too late take it from someone how put in 278 days of game play in i wish Ithat i did now that i see what this company is all about

Just watched the Dev stream and they said the update to fix xbox will soon be out for certification. But 3 weeks ago we were told on here it was already out for certification. I’m going to go out on a limb and believe what I heard on the Dev stream rather than here considering the fact I’ve never personally heard of Microsoft taking half a month to certify an update.

They don’t. They will, however, repeatedly bounce a build that doesn’t pass cert back to the developer. Importantly though, certification doesn’t mean there aren’t glaring bugs in the game. Certification means the game loads, doesn’t cause instability with the console itself, and certain core functionality works (like being able to access the player’s Live account, access to cloud storage, etc.) That’s it.

It’s been a week since I could sign in last. I’m super frustrated and beginning to lose my positivity. Man I am hoping someone has a big save file. When I look at the server list, it shows no one online, but 1 person on my official server.
After several attempts of restarting my console, refreshing list and picking other servers showing population, I’m giving up. I hope that they get it working but I’m not hopeful anymore. I’m confident that the next time I sign in I’ll have lost 3 years of materials. Durp
@funcom_ignasis This is exactly what I’m talking about @Spynosaur_Nicole , how can the game grow when this is every new players experience. If I had a pound for everytime I’ve seen “How do I join an online server without crashing?” etc, I would be very rich. Surely their should be a warning message when they load up the game(after the stuttering introduction video obviously) saying… Load singleplayer first, stand there for a few minutes log out then log into a multiplayer match. It sounds even more ridiculous when I type it… It’s embarrassing that it’s been in the game 3+ years in the first place. Give new players a chance at least, how is it still available to purchase during such a calamity? @funcom

I saw there was a patch but nothing is fixed. Still getting the corruption detected error and constant disconnects

Ignasis has mentioned that the corrupted data popup is faulty and will be addressed in a future update.

Since the patch, the hame for me is very playable. Of course im offline single player. Im still seeing the intro lag, missing character when ghey take a drink in the intro, and other missing minor details, but all in all, nothing too game breaking.
Possible that the game runs well offline, but I’m 600 hours online and it’s really unplayable, several guys in the clan have an xbox one S and it’s a disaster …

Could we get an ETA for the fix? I have played this from the beta version and I swear if I didnt know better I would say someone resused some ■■■■■■ old code rather than rewriting some new code. I quite playing for ovr a year because of crashing. I was having a great experience until this crashing started again.
People have the same issues with single player. And the X1S has 4GB less memory than the X, so the impact of the client’s memory leak is seen sooner.
My concern is that with the Series X around the corner, with an SSD and 16GB of memory, Funcom’s “solution” is going to essentially come down to letting hardware solve their problems for them.
I already suspect that they don’t do much, if any, actual testing on physical hardware using the original Xbox One or S. That will probably be more the case six months down the road.
