I captured a named thrall, Hyam Hammerhand, and dragged him to my small wheel of pain… when I added him to the wheel he showed briefly and then disappeared… Thinking I dropped him, I retraced my steps all the way back to where I waylaid him in Sepermeru. There was no trace of him, so I ran back to my wheel and he was in the wheel again. Now here’s the funny part. I clicked to start the wheel and the timer activated but the wheel did not spin or show him visually pushing the wheel nor did it show up in the crafting que. I picked him up (usually it destroys the thrall, but it didn’t) and cared him all the way home to noob river and added him to my greater wheel or pain… same thing… timer starts but no other notice that hes on it and he doesnt show up in the crafting que… anyone knows what gives and if it’s just a bust?
You probably discovered this since, but by the sounds of it, your thrall was actually completed and ready to be placed.
Crafting stations have a catch-up mechanic, basically when no players are nearby they completely power down as part of a performance optimization system.
Then when you come back, they try to make up for the time lost by instantly completing the recipes they should have done while you were away.
Sometimes however due to a bug, they have a bit of a delayed reaction which makes it so that when you add something to the crafting queue it can instantly complete.
My guess is that this is what happened in your case, you added the thrall to the wheel.. started the wheel and it actually instantly completed, that’s why it showed up for a second.
This is further supported by the fact that you could take the thrall out of the station, since you can only do that with already completed ones.
Basically all that’s left is for you to just place the thrall
