Adding or removing any amount of items seems to have a chance to trigger it, but adding or removing an inventory slot (ie, a new item added, or a stack of items removed, increasing or decreasing the slots taken up in the inventory of the crafting station - yourself included) seems to guarantee the reset.
This also includes your hotbar.
Also, crafts using up a stack of materials may trigger the reset as well.
Basically you can only collect materials with a single tool or E
Crafting on table stops if:
Items are added or removed from the table.
Individual fuel expires
If this is going to take much longer to fix is it possible to get a workaround or revert to the changed that caused this. Doing really anything in the game is very painful. I wouldn’t say this bug makes the game unplayable but very close.
Happening to me to on official server on multiple crafting stations eg improved stove and precision firebowl cauldron. Noticed whilst cooking on stove that as soon as the fuel timer reached zero it stopped cooking. Even if it had hundreds of coal (even tried oil) to fuel it, as soon as the white line/timer got to zero it stopped cooking. Also, taking anything off the stove stopped the cooking process. So, fuel also seems to affect it. Hope this helps.
If you take a look at the tags for the report, there’s this:
This is a fairly recent addition to the forums, as explained in the post about the forum revamp, so I imagine most people aren’t used to it yet.
What it means is that the devs acknowledge that the report has been received, without further response. It’s usually added to the topics that are duplicate reports of a bug that has already been reported elsewhere. If you read the rest of the current thread, you’ll notice that @rolee9309 already linked another report for the same bug, and that one does have a response from the devs:
So yeah, the bug was received and the devs are working on it. Since it’s been only 5 days, I don’t expect them to come back every day, visit every report of that same bug, and reassure us all that they’re still working on it.

Bug Description: Production Interupt
Any removal of an inventory item from a crafting station with a que, eliminates the que. Same is true for Character onboard items (rope making interupt)
Should be able to add or remove items from a station or crafting que without having to restart the que. Too many times you expect your stack of 500 to be complete only to find that removing an unrelated item from the station cancelled the crafting que.
Steps to Reproduce:
Please provide a step-by-step process of how the bug can be reproduced. Please be as detailed as possible; the more details, the easier it will be for us to find and fix the bug:
Step 1 Start a large que of crafting items
Step 2 Remove anything from the station (que’d material or not even related)
Step 3 Crafting que cancelled
STep 4 piss and moan about how you can never again go about your base making rope as it’s constantly cancelled.
p.s. the last notes said that royal armor was fixed. Nope, can only make T1 (still) as T3 does not show up on onboard craftables or in any station (T1 shows in stations now instead of onboard).
