I just had the game freeze and crash. After restarting my computer and starting up steam it says that the game needs to be installed. It also says I only have 20gig left on my drive (same amount as after i installed and patched conan) so the game is still there somewhere but i cant locate it. Have been running the game for about a week and have had no issues before.
looking for any direction on how to discern what happened and how to fix

I’m not sure what happened but if the game is still there it should be in \steamapps\common\.
In my experience, if a game is already there and you tell Steam to install it, it’ll find the existing files and only download whatever is missing.
