It’s singleplayer i am the admin.
I think i have build anywhere off as on or off didn’t seem to matter before.
With that being said i will check these settings again and see if it jars the bug loose and let’s me continue working on that side of my base.
Strange that this would be an issue just on that one side of the base when i have had no issues adding or removing things from other parts of my base.
Also the location i built in is mostly a flat plain not near any cliffs or water and the ground has mostly just grass around it, at least where i am building.
I am not near any barriers such as the green barrier towers.
I also occasionally get a building issue where it might take 10 minutes to remove a wall, no joke.
Why in the world would it take 10 minutes sometimes to remove something when nothing being added ever gets such a terrible lag.
Solid State Drive about 1tb with 500 or so free left.
My actual time for the save to boot is about 3m or so not too bad there.
I will change the status of my comments here on the issue if the issue resolves upon further testing the build anywhere option.
I don’t’ believe it did before though so will at least check one more time.
Alright, no change.
I checked the option to allow building anywhere and it still gave the same error “failed to add” building item.
For further info i was trying to add a wall to the top of a foundation block and it would not allow it.
If i placed an adjoining foundation block it would allow me to place the wall in the middle of the two but once i removed the outer block addition the wall would deconstruct.
I even tried a wedge foundation and nothing.
I also even tried stacking a foundation block up to about 3 high and it still wouldn’t let me place a wall.
Crazy how stacking another foundation block worked but would not let me add a wall.
I did try different styles of building such as stonebrick instead of stormglass and it did the same thing, nothing.
I also went into admin and said ignore stability, nope wouldn’t work.
The foundation was only about 2 high, one on the ground and one more to that for a total of 2 foundation blocks.
#1 Can we implement a no build coffer zone in the Volcano area? Is this even a bug or is it players just cheating the system? Either way I’d like to see it removed from the game.
#2 Golems in purges giving too much experience. This HAS to be a bug no? I doubt it’s intentional to allow golems in purges literally level thralls to level 20.
#3 The Werehyenas from the Sacred Hunt event are still able to attack and kill Thralls.
Darn it. Apologies to hear that this did not rectify the issue LonePlayer. It sounds like it is a newer bug in that case. I do recall seeing another thread on this issue a number of weeks ago now, but I did not read especially far into it at the time. Unfortunately I have no other workaround ideas in mind, so we will have to hope that this will be remedied in the next Update.
While mine has now sorted itself out, my partner was not so fortunate. And much like yourself @Kazalakis she is still unable to log into her Singleplayer game. Thankyou for your agreement, members need to be able to actually play the game they purchased.
It’s really sad that I can’t build a base or forever keep a base at due the bugs that getting in my way.
The good news though are that thanks to the maintenance 'n memory upgrade I did to my ps4 on the beginning of 2023, I was able to backup the single player save file of the game and this past November 2024 I was able to recover what was lost and back it up on a USB stick.
But I am scared to log in to single player due to that I might suffer the repeat of the latest loss which I suffered.
Were you sleeping in the open or were you inside? If you were outside in the open, someone could have placed several campfires around you and melted you. If you were inside your house, a thrall on a furnace or a campfire will cook you as well.
Perhaps I missed them, but didn’t see the issue of having to remap sprint button everytime you login, or the incorrect settings for Civilized difficulty when starting a new single player game.
