Damage keeps refreshing the decay-timer

A player griefed us and other players on the server we played at. All his buildings has decayed all around the world except by our base.
It seems that any damage that is done to the foundations and other buildings will resett the decay timer of a building. For an exemple The purge or meteors.
The buildings will not decay because everytime the meteors fall down on his building the timer will resett, so we are bound to look at this monstrosity for all of eternity? I surely hope not. I would be really thanful for this problem to be solved.
I can’t put pictures since I’m “new” but it’s basically someone who put a big sandstone wall next to our base just to ruin it for us.

Please provide a step-by-step process of how the bug can be reproduced. The more details you provide us with the easier it will be for us to find and fix the bug:
Option A

  1. One of your staff logs onto our server 1302 and manually remove the foundations located in D11/12.
    Option B
  2. Remove the thing in the game files (Sorry I don’t know the proper term for programming and files) that makes the damage resett the decay timer.
