I had no idea this even existed, so there I went to the dregs, trying my luck on getting a few early legendary weapons.
Little did I know… so I braved ahead… kinda
It’s thrall impervious. At least I couldn’t figure a way to make my thrall survive all the traps. Might be possible, but I didn’t find it worthwhile. Solo it is then.
The ominous giant wom at the start was a sample of what was to come… Until I found out that you have to lure them to traps to easily kill them, I had my arse mauled over and over. I though, ok, funcom definitely lost the plot… how am I supposed to kill these worms with a towering 30k hp pool?! Seriously?! But then it hit me… the traps made short work of my thrall. Let’s try it. And there it was, hidden in plain sight, the answer to my dilemma.
The torches… yeah, those gushes that put them out at the worse possible moment are genius… especially when you light them up again only to find two “zombies” materialized right in your face. The platforming is awesome compared to what we usually have. Nice touch with those chains. I still need to figure out how I’ll get to a couple of chests. Double jump perk, maybe?
Long story short, it’s not early game content. I had to go back. This is something I’ll do with a mask, maybe glimmermoon, and a much better armor.
This dungeon is awesome. Great PVE content right there.
There is a hidden “darkness” debuff in that dungeon that ticks up when you are not within any light source. If it reaches max stack, it triggers a zombie spawn using the same ambushing system they implemented for the Sacred Hunt.
It definitely makes several loot locations a lot easier to access, but there is nothing in the Dark Dregs that requires double jump.
This is a grievance I have with the event. I think it should not replace the normal Dregs, and the normal Dregs should be the default dungeon so noobies do not accidentally enter the harder dungeon. There should be some kind of switch that you have to manually trigger at the entrance to enable the Dark Dregs event.
This event shows that Conan still has legs. It can hold on to its old player base and still put out new content that genuinely engages and surprises people who’ve been around for years.
That said, it’s hard to ignore how Age of Fix isn’t really living up to its name. Fixing the core issues should be the bare minimum for the game to move forward.

Indeed… I think it should be a brand new dungeon on one of the many doors left unopened in and around the unnamed city, for example… but it’s really a cool new content.
I have in once with a team mate had no clue what was going on we made it through by accident. I believe I should do it today for kicks recently just bulllstuff with folks on server
I think funcom needs to put a team in charge to revamp the old code. Probably it’s a formidable task and this means investment. To bring players back and get the attention of new players, CE needs something big to happen. If the game is perceived as near abandonware, players won’t care. OTOH, if players see that there is a revival happening, considering that Conan doesn’t have much in terms of competition, at least on consoles, I believe they’ll check it out.
Without wanting to be political, I think the videogame industry is now past the “woke” years (by woke I mean fake outrage and idiocy, not legitimate and well thought social concerns). Conan, against all odds, survived them. That is a feat in itself! Slavery, erotism, etc… it was a God damned miracle. But it did and the market is hungry for games that keep politics out of entertainment, something CE managed with flying colors.
For the record I am seeing newbies on my server’s as in don’t have a clue that is a good thing hopefully the game will live help the one’s I can talk to so many can’t be connected due to settings paranoid world?
It’s a neat dungeon/encounter. A lightsource weapon or the sorcerer wisp prevents the zombie spawn. I’ll have to admit I had no idea about the zombies spawning like that.
Thralls just get in the way and you don’t need a gas mask if you avoid the traps. I don’t know what you consider low level but I usually run it at about 40. Though I doubt that’s feasible without being very familiar with both the game and the dungeon.
I just came back a few days ago and started a new game. I went to the dregs so i could get the dungeon delver journey started but it doesn’t seem to wanna start with the current event activated.
You could do the usual dregs around level 20 with no problems. I’ll try again this evening. You can avoid traps, but the mask might help if I accidentally step on one while fighting. Traps are to thralls like magnets to iron nails . I wish I could take a bearer tho. The amount of loot is insane!
Welcome back , happy New year Marcos . I have some time to visit dark dregs , is it fixed or the 30k worms die alone after a period of time?
Many players find the wisp useful in dark dregs , which allows you to use any weapon you wish. Then in bosses that spam single attacks only (like brute) rolling thrust bonus and a 2h heavy may be a good way to decrease the boss hp without getting hit. Funny thing that these fellas die from gas poisoning too .
Happy you enjoy it mate, but even happier to see you around.
