I’d reshuffle that a bit to Avingard, which would fit a protector.
OK, it is missing a ‘u’, but maybe this guard is dyslexic?

I’m with you on this shuffle ! And it actually works a lot in French as “Guard” is spelled “Garde”, and I’m French, so it makes a lot of sense !
