so what are people thingkin their is comming to the age of heroes maube a new talent system?
as sayd one my post you answered you can read i admit funcom need to improve
They had their chance to clean-up, first.
I’m sure it was part of the plan. I studied the U.S. Dollar, again. I’m witnessing these clan breakdowns. And, this is like a cookie jar for alligators.
It used to take more than a few hours, to write this entry. If someone wants to make a spreadsheet out of what’s left, go ahead.
forgive my skepticism but they’ve announced a lot of things but rarely have they actually happened
they’ve been promising to focus on bugs practically the whole time I’ve been playing and the result ? some bugs are still there - despite repeated reporting - years later and “new” content just adds more
When you have Bugs happening for a year ir two. Not being look at. It when it happens.
We have tried reportibg them nicely, to hace patience, that did not work.
If we do what we do is because we care. And of with pressure we.can get some improvments , be thankful . That we are trying to get the Game improved.
Cheers
The “fix fix fix” is a chorus on every game’s forum since a long time. So much so that it has lost its meaning. And it mostly stems from the same problem: Garbage you put in your computer.
A lot of people who respect their computers have no problems with games.
You go to Baldur’s Gate 3 forum, there is the “game is unplayable, crashes all the time”, you go to Cyberpunk forum “game is unplayable, crashes all the time”. Everywhere you have a game that is not “candy crush”, there is a mob of people saying that same thing.
It is exhausting.
Yep and until gamers just stop buying buggy games and beta releases, it will continue.
Sounds vaguely familiar to that drug… … a Scooby snack. The “cat shops” are everywhere across… nvm (leniency).
Well for farming farms!
Yeesh, Cyberpunk is a REALLY bad example of the point you’re trying to make.
To weigh in, their is a difference from not a good game and failure all together. Take Valheim. I tried it, it had a few flaws, but the reason i dont like it is because of the lack of NPCs. But i feel IronGate tries to communicate and fix major issues. So Iron Gate games i will probably try. FC has shown failure, and thus i will take wait and see with thiers. Make sense?
Really bad example. Valheim releases one content update a year at best, zero replayability, repetitive proc-gen gameplay loop built around power creep with no endgame content. Also, the game is pve only.
This one considered a thing.
Part of their statement was about who would lead.
They also note songs and other memory tokens.
Leaving aside that a media influencer is basically the opposite of a Howardian Hero and this one’s contempt for public approval as a measure of virtue…
Perhaps there will be something of a reputation system added.
In addition to a new form of reputation currency (we have the Oboulus for Sorcery currency, and the Fangs as a Jhebbal Sag currency, before that there were even pearls for some pirate stuff that no one wants anymore) that is used with reputation vendors. Perhaps certain items are only available at certain reputation ranks?
There are numerous no-build zones left on both maps where these could be placed.
A reputation vendor could be added to the purge cages list, or just be a random guest at the tavern.
They had mentioned wanting to make the tavern something of a “quest hub” in the past.
If they grow the tavern in this way, this one does hope that ways other than the purge to acquire Barkeepers are added. While low level purges are easy, they can only be spawned in certain areas and they have a habit of giving up before being beaten. In this one’s opinion, not a good way to gate major features of a new Age.
i like the idea of some sort of reputation system, the player building up his/her renown by performing deeds of daring and conquest.
i also echo your call for tavernkeepers to be get-able somewhere other than the purge. only time i do a purge in a given playthrough is to acquire the tavernkeeper. the new purge is just too bugged and unfun to engage in.
After watching where Dennis leads this game and to which kind of players he tries to cater + reading the teaser on Steam…
Age of Heroes is going to be some introduction of even more overpowered named Thralls “Heroes” so our skill full community will be able once again to stand and watch a Thrall complete the game for them.
For me a disappointment, but eradication surely is going to praise them for this amazing expansion and long awaited change
yog, i hope not. thrall nerf was best thing to happen to this game.
they are just filthy slaves. cannon fodder. let em fight til they die, then harvest their corpse and make jerky from their flesh, feed it to the b team.
Hope they buff thralls or make hero thralls and add a new way to raise they level and perks.
i hope they add a forge system too to people use all duplicates legendary weapons stockeds.
And i hope they add trade system too.
They shall go it way to make people active doing something because right now endgame in conan is very bored with nothing to do.
Also if you dont like strong thralls just dont use they its no hard do to and you dont need to use they or cry about someone using they.
Of course, the question, with any reputation system, but especially on one with such a small map (this is comparing to other games that use rep/faction, many of which are instanced or MMOs) is how to stretch it out across the (6 months per Chapter, 4 Chapters per Age) 2 years of introduction while keeping it both fresh and not an obnoxious grind.
If this one engaged in the vice of hope, this one would imagine that lessons were learned from the Sacred Hunt and any future such repeated currency generation frameworks would have more variety and less slogging thru the same thing ad nauseum…
No, good example. 6 sh…tty updates is just more sh…t.
You over think the comparison. I am saying Iron Gate knows thier lane and tries to stay in it. FC is driving all over the place and poorly communicates and is super disorganized from the top down. That is the comparison.
Also
29000 vs 8000. Conan (to me) is a tier above as far as stuff to do amd graphically mpre powerful. So why do you think Valheims has almost a 4 to 1 steam base? To me, it is the execution of thier roadmaps.
i’m not crying about people using thralls. i think thrall nerf was good. you disagree.
when i play i usually run dungeons with a berserker in tow. if they die, i just get a new one.
my opinion is that the problem with thralls is their AI, not their stats. buffing them to make up for their sheer stupidity is the wrong approach. in my opinion.
my opinion.
i have opinions.
aint nobody crying here.
