Gameplay video where they flex with top-rated gear vhich I wuldnt have for years? Then tell me to ‘git gud’ when I say I dont have the resources to grind it out? Then vhen I ask to see a vid like that with gear like mine, they just ignore that completly? Don’t make me laugh.

The thing that bothers me about TSW is the fact they lower your AR rating by 30% if you are a female character. Its a strange thing to do in a game from nearly 10 years ago, fortunately SWL doesn’t seem to have that problem.
Huh. I heard that same thing sayed about SWL recently. I didnt find any evidence of that (all my characters are female). I think thats just a rumor. Because if true, I imagine the backlash wuld be intense.

I think you are right, I must of misremembered, it is the other way around.
Unfortunately Natty is right on this point. Since the end of support (around 2017) I met newcomers who gave up the game after some months, despite the motivation, because of those elitist guys who keep a monopoly on high level PVE content and prioritize their crawlers. Thanksfully another community roleplay-oriented came with their guildmates two or three years ago and keeps their distance from them as far as possible. The only drawback is their motto: to live happily, we have to hide away. But I must admit it pretty much works for them.
I have 3 screenshots about these elitists who wantend to hijack all game content to them selves (around 2017). They spammed 3 piece script in the chat how they were going to purify player base from peoples who still wanted to enjoy all aspects of game, including PvP. They wanted Fusang as a part of their daily BB/Panth farm so they wanted to get rid of PvP veterans too (who also did PvE content).
Hence this…
After that elitistic campaign, I quit… got tired of getting PM’s from players right after I logged in what said what I can and cannot do in the game.

But… now a days it is pretty different mood in TSW imo. Thats why I play occasionally because there are still cool kids there. Like in all games, not everyone are, asshats are in every game. Thats why it is not cool to label everyone “elitistic”. There is no “monopoly” imo, its simple thing when it comes to fact that player base is small, someone is not geared for end game content nor other palyers arent willing to spend their game time for carrying whiners trough content.

TF?! For me that wuld be a open invitation to do exacly what they say I’m not alowed to do. Just to screw them over, out of spite if nothing else. Nobody gives me orders. Irl or in games.
And I didnt ask to be carryd. I just didnt want to waste any more of my time on the grind for the gear I wuldnt have for 1+ year of constant playing at least. I have better things to do, and Legends lets me play endgame content w/o having to grind gear. Plus I dont take well to ppl talking down to me. Just because you’re better geared then me, don’t give you the right to tell me to ‘git gud’. That’s elitism, right there.
Apparently someone is trying to censor my comments about how awful the mods of the TSW Classic Discord are. They form an unwelcoming and frankly unsafe community and it’s absolutely disgusting someone here is trying to cover for them. Enablers are in a lot of ways worse than abusers.
DO NOT join that Discord server. I won’t stop repeating this. I’ve got a DM history to backup everything I say.

Seriously, though, it’s nothing like a few sour grapes shouting about here. And I’m a crappy casual player too.

Why are you trying to prevent people from judging for themselves and then finding out if what you say is true and deciding for everyone else when everyone has a different experience and trying to take down a whole collective? From my experience, many people in that discord and in game are helpful, welcoming, friendly, and the furthest thing from elitist and as inclusive as reasonably possible. I invite people to join the discord and the game to see if they like it. The mods are fair. Be decent and people will be decent in kind.
