Just a pretty stupid question I guess - but would it be possible to allow clients to download modfiles from the server they want to play on?
And nope - I have no clue how bad the impact would be regarding the performance of said server.
However I am still getting updates forced upon me even though I dont want them.
I dont know why but I get how being able to download from servers instead of steam might help admins not to have to pay too much attention.
It should be triggered when the client checked mods and is said to have a wrong version without being able to download the correct one from steam. So after it checked for new version on steam; just prompt for download from the server?
Would this be possible and make sense?
