Nothing has changed since, the bug still present in 2.7 on all servers (offline and online) on PS4
Game mode: Online official / Online private / Single-player / Co-op Type of issue: Other Server type: PvP/PvE-Conflict/PvE Region: EU Hardware: PS4
Bug Description:
After patch 2.5 (or earlier?) a veil appeared on the horizon line that cuts off everything behind it and rendering invisible except for the silhouette contour. Because of that the draw distance dropped significantly without any increase on the performance side. On top of that this veil cuts off all VFX that intersects with it. For example, a portion of the smog column that crosses the veil is invisible. Same is for flames of the torch. See the attached video to get the idea.
This veil causes ugly horizon for water surfaces too, and in general is something unwanted, because with it the game feels like it’s always a gloomy weather, always smog and mist.
At some point today this bug disappeared. I believe this happened after the effect of night vision powder worn off. But I am not sure. But after I logged out and logged back in, the bug reappeared.
After being fortunate enough to get a Ps5.
Conan is a completely different experience. Most of the bugs are gone along with the Ps4.
On the Ps5 you can see clearly for miles and the game is much closer to the pc version.
Hello and thank you for the report. This is related to the general optimization of the PS4 version and sometimes we see these visual issues appear there. We’re constantly trying to improve the platform optimization with each patch.
Please let us know if you encounter any other issues.
So, does this mean this is not a bug? Because honestly, the game looks SO MUCH better after I use a night vision potion (or powder) and this veil disappears.
